| In current educational activities, be them in domestic or abroad, people pay more and more attention to the development and improvement of students’ personal interests in physical activities. With an aiming to improve physical health, physical education is a practical course which emphasizes developing students’ interest in it. According to the data released by the Ministry of education in recent years can be seen in the overall decline in the physical health of students, but also reflects the high school students generally lack of interest in sports. As a result, we should get rid of the traditional teaching method in physical education which crams all the knowledge into students neglect developing students’ interest in it. Serving as a connection between school education and social education, physical education in middle school is a prime time for students to develop their interest in PE.In order to have a thorough understanding of middle school students’ interest in physical education in current, this thesis has employed means of documents, mathematical statistics questionnaire survey to investigate students in 2 rural middle school and 3 urban middle school in Shouguang, based on the investigation of the situation of Shouguang City, students interested in studying physical education According to the research, in Shouguang, the higher the grade is, the less the interests in PE they have, moreover, most students like teachers who have a fine sense of humor. The middle school students in shouguang are not very satisfied with the settlement of course, which means that the course in their school can not trigger their interests in PE and they are attracted to some traditional event like ball game. By visiting several middle schools, it can be noticed that the students are examined in traditional way, which lays psychological burden to some students with poor health and decreases their interest in learning. On the other hand, from investigation, 20 percent of students always want to find any excuse to skip PE class. the positive guidance of parents to students is also important to interests developing. It can also be noticed that most students require proper sports facility, thus school should improve the establishment of proper sports facility. Last but not least, some teachers in certain school maintain the traditional concept of neglecting PE in the process of exam-oriented exam, which has decreased students’ interest in PE. In a word, there are two mean factors influencing middle school students’ interest in PE, namely internal factor like personal epistemology and the mastery of sport technique, and external factor like sports equipment, social environment, family, PE teachers, internet and economy.Thus, the following measures are put forward in response to the present situation of teaching. Firstly, creating the problem circumstances and inspiring their interests to learn; Secondly, teachers should change their ideas, do a good job of changing roles, and establish a harmonious and friendly relationship between teachers and students on the basis of mutual respect; thirdly, teachers should teach students in accordance with their aptitude, adopt suitable teaching methods and strengthen the interaction with the students, to stimulate students’ interest in learning; fourthly, schools should do a good job in all kinds of sports equipment and equipment construction; fifthly, positive guidance of correct educational ideas in family education; sixthly, mobilize students to actively participate in various kinds of sports activities organized by the school, full participation, create a good atmosphere for sports; Seventh, to strengthen the media publicity, to face the value of sports; Eighth, according to the characteristics of the students to set up the course content; Ninth, give full play to the interaction between students. Last but not least, increasing the students’ awareness of physical education with the employment of classroom assessment mechanism is also very important. |
