In order to train the outstanding applied skilled personnel in the all-round development of "moral,intellectual and physical beauty and labor",China has introduced a large number of reform and innovation policies of vocational education model,and it is an important and urgent task to standardize the performance appraisal system of teachers in vocational colleges and universities.The development of secondary vocational education should be further adapted to the needs of the new era,and it is particularly important to strengthen the construction of teachers’ ranks.Teacher performance appraisal is precisely the key factor to stimulate the vitality of teachers’ ranks in vocational colleges and strengthen the construction of teachers’ ranks.However,in the current management and operation of secondary vocational schools,the lack of teacher performance appraisal or the problem of flowing into form is widespread,and the established teacher performance appraisal is also faced with the new requirements and standards put forward by the state for secondary vocational education.In this study,the teachers of S secondary vocational schools are used as the object of study,using the methods of literature research,structural interview and text analysis,this study conducts an in-depth study on the performance appraisal of teachers in S secondary vocational school,and understands the current situation of teacher performance appraisal in S secondary vocational school.This paper summarizes the existing problems and reasons in teacher performance appraisal in schools,and puts forward targeted suggestions on how to improve teacher performance appraisal system in S secondary vocational schools in the light of the current trend of vocational education.This study analyzes and finds four aspects from the objectives,contents,processes and results of teacher performance appraisal in S secondary vocational schools.The study found that the main problems in the performance appraisal of teachers in S secondary vocational schools are: 1.The goal of teacher performance appraisal is not oriented to promote teacher connotation development;2.The content design of performance appraisal ignores the non-quantitative content;3.The feedback channel of teacher’s performance appraisal results is not smooth;4.The incentive effect of performance appraisal results is not obvious.The main factors that have problems in teacher performance appraisal in S secondary vocational schools are: 1.The feedback mechanism of performance appraisal results is not perfect,2.The incentive mechanism of performance appraisal is not perfect,3.The appraisaler and the appraisalee do not know the appraisal in place,and the concept is old.Through the analysis of the present situation,problems and influence factors of teacher performance appraisal in S secondary vocational schools,some suggestions are put forward to improve the teacher appraisal system in S secondary vocational schools: 1.set the goal of teacher performance appraisal scientifically and rationally;2.design the content of teacher performance appraisal scientifically;3.establish and improve the feedback mechanism of teacher performance appraisal;and 4.establish and improve the incentive mechanism of teacher performance appraisal.
