Research On Building Characteristic Campus Culture By Relying On Local Cultural Resources In Higher Vocational Colleges

Under the time-background of both “combination” and “high-level” construction of colleges and universities,it is an urgent realistic problem currently faced by the higher vocational colleges that higher vocational colleges how to seize the development opportunity,rely on local cultural resources,release their own advantages so as to construct characteristic campus culture,to provide high-quality education that the people are satisfied with.Through literature research,investigation and case study,this paper takes X Vocational and Technical College in Taicang,Jiangsu province as the research object to conduct in-depth research.The research consists of four parts.In the first part,it mainly analyzes the meaning of "campus culture","characteristic campus culture" and "local culture" and the theoretical basis,content,conditions,principles and significance of the construction of characteristic campus culture in higher vocational colleges.Second,through the questionnaire survey of X Vocational and Technical College,it analyzes the construction status of characteristic campus culture in higher vocational colleges.In the third part,it analyzes the problems and causes for the construction of characteristic campus cultures.In the Part IV,by combining with four aspects of campus culture in higher vocational colleges,as taking X vocational technical schools for example,a detailed case analysis is carried out and explores the countermeasures of the construction of characteristic campus culture in higher vocational colleges,i.e.only by fully relying on the local cultural resources,bettering and strengthening the real culture brand,riching the delicate campus "culture",forming unique cultural ethos,establishing firm "cultural confidence" and adhering to the integration of "cultural creation",can the higher vocational colleges better develop the characteristic campus culture and strive for the first-class national high-level higher vocational college.Taicang has a profound foundation of local culture and a wide social influence from the ancient to the modern times.It makes sense to combine the construction of characteristic campus culture of Taicang’s only county higher vocational college with local cultural resources as research contents.It is not only a "beneficial exploration" of the vivid practice of advanced socialist culture,but also a "win-win" result between the protection and inheritance of local culture and the development of characteristic campus culture.
