Research On Digital Color Matching Based On The Areola Of Nanjing Brocade

Color is an important component of Chinese traditional culture,which has high research and utilization value.Nanjing Brocade is a famous silk handicraft which enjoys a good reputation at home and abroad.It was particularly prosperous in the Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties.The gorgeous and harmonious color of Nanjing Brocade is its most prominent feature.And the core of color matching skills of Nanjing brocade is mainly reflected in its areola formula.However,most of the areola formula has been lost.The empirical and subjective characteristics of traditional Nanjing Brocade color matching result in a lack of scientific and standardized data research,which greatly limits its application in automatic color matching.In this paper,the study of Nanjing Brocade areola is taken as the starting point,collects and combs the areola formula and its color,carries out digital color restoration,and then carries out automatic color matching design and application to realize the new inheritance of Chinese traditional color culture.In this paper,firstly,samples of Nanjing Brocade areola were collected for Nanjing Brocade collections and Nanjing Brocade weaving factory.Based on the historical materials and literature,it innovatively extracts the areola formula through a tripartite verification method,and uses image processing technology to digitally extract the colors with Nanjing Brocade yarn sample card.Then,image processing technology was used to assist color restoration.For the first time,a systematic presentation for the areola formula of Nanjing Brocade and its color were conducted.Secondly,the color digital information of the areola formula is placed in the HSB color space for quantitative analysis,trying to analyze the color matching characteristics from the perspectives of color system,hue,saturation,brightness and color matching mode,and discussing the influencing factors of its color matching characteristics.The results show that red,purple and white are the main colors of the Nanjing Brocade areola.The Hue difference of the Nanjing Brocade areola matching is mostly concentrated below60 degrees.The color matching of Nanjing Brocade areola likes to use the color of neutral and high brightness and saturation,and the color of low purity is neutralized.The most commonly used color collocation method in the areola formula of Nanjing Brocade is same color contrast,followed by adjacent color contrast,similar color contrast and medium difference color contrast.The subjective color matching formula of the Nanjing Brocade areola is similar to western digital color theory.It follows its own color matching logic and uses color contrast and harmony to form a good color matching effect.Finally,based on the areola formula and color digital information obtained in this paper,a color library of " the areola formula of Nanjing Brocade " was created to verify the feasibility of automatic color matching for modern patterns,color matching design application and three-dimensional physical effect simulation.The results show that the color library is recognizable,which makes automatic color matching design feasible and fast color matching possible.The areola formula of Nanjing Brocade and its colors have good adaptability in the field of contemporary textile design,which shows the classic and beautiful characteristics of the areola formula of Nanjing Brocade and its color styles.It can randomly produce very different color matching effects,and different color schemes can be selected according to the needs of practical application.In this paper,the areola formula,its color,color matching rules and automatic color matching application can provide reference for future related research,and further excavate and refine the color potential artistic and cultural value of the areola formula,expand the development and application field of Nanjing Brocade areola,and carry forward the traditional Chinese color culture.
