Research On The Selection Of Logistics Service Suppliers Of W Chemical Company

With the globalization of trade and the intensification of the market,a lot more companies choose to outsource their logistics business to professional third-party logistics service suppliers.However,when companies choose logistics service suppliers,they often lack a systematic,scientific and operable supplier evaluation and selection system,which causes unsatisfactory results and failure on meeting their comprehensive logistics needs.Under the disordered situation of global logistics supply chain caused by the pandemic,corporate customers have also raised higher requirements for logistics,and it is of practical significance and application value to study the choice of logistics service providers for enterprises.This thesis takes the W chemical Company as the research object,summarizing the theoretical knowledge of third-party logistics and how to evaluate and select logistics service providers,combining with W Company’s internal and external environment with the background of pandemic,which reveals the company’s logistics status,analysing the current selection method and specific process,and pointing out the outstanding problems in the current selection.To optimize the logistics service supplier of W Company,the evaluation index system reflecting the logistics characteristics of the chemical industry and the logistics needs will be established through interviews with key customers,major logistics service providers and important employees of various departments.Based on the AHP method,the supplier selection system and the index weight calculation are determined,and the weight obtained by AHP is applied to the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation to obtain the scores of the logistics service suppliers of W company to determine the final selection result.The research conclusion can effectively guide the selection and management practice of logistics service suppliers of W Company.Through AHP process,it is known that the location advantage,the level of informatization and the freight price are the three most important evaluation indicators,and the performance of the best logistics service supplier calculated by the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is good,and there is still room for further improvement.Through the comparison of the comprehensive weights of the AHP model under the conditions of pandemic and conditions before pandemic,it is revealed that the decision-making of the logistics service supplier for enterprises needs to adjust according to the latest conditions.The research results of this paper have a certain reference for the selection and management of logistics service providers in similar enterprises in the same industry.
