Research On Optimization Of Empty Container Reposition Management Of A Company Yangtze River Section

With the development of China’s economy and the acceleration of infrastructure,safe,convenient and time-saving container transport has entered a stage of rapid development.Due to the influence of resource distribution,regional economic development,cargo structure imbalance as well as urban layout,there are great differences in the supply structure and flow of the Yangtze River region,and empty container reposition is the most direct and effective way to solve the imbalance of container import and export.However,it is still far from the ports of coastal developed countries,the process of traditional empty container reposition has been unable to meet the strategic needs of enterprises,to achieve the profitability of enterprises,there is an urgent need for a more optimized reposition process and cost control system to promote the development of Yangtze River port enterprises.Therefore,how to reasonably implement and supervise the reposition process,scientifically manage and construct the container management system,how to effectively organize and deploy empty container resources,continuously reduce and control the reposition cost,so that the empty container reposition brings higher profits is the focus and difficulty faced by shipping enterprises.Taking liner shipping enterprises as an example,this thesis has systematically analyzed and studied the problem of empty container reposition.First of all,the relevant literature and theories were sorted out,including the overview of empty container reposition,process optimization methods,and cost management theory;then,the reasons and objectives of empty container reposition in the Yangtze River section of enterprise A were expounded,and the empty container reposition process and empty container reposition cost that affected its management level were completely described;next,a detailed study was carried out on the empty container reposition process and cost management problems,and the necessity for improvement was put forward for the needs of enterprise business strategy,external competitive environment and profit targets;finally,on the one hand,use scientific process optimization method to timely adjust and improve the process of empty container reposition,on the other hand,through quantitative analysis,explore a set of management modes for reasonable control of empty container reposition costs,making an important way to improve the operational efficiency of enterprises.Through the research,the author found that,in order to improve the management level of empty container reposition in the Yangtze River section of Enterprise A and help the enterprise to make strategic decisions and achieve profit objectives,improvements should be made on both process and cost.In terms of process management,optimize the process of empty container reposition,improve the organizational structure and audit mechanism of equipment management department,strengthen the communication between the equipment management department and superior department and the understanding of the work contents of business department.Through the removal,simplification,integration,automation and other ways to improve the process of empty container reposition,reduce the invalid activities of the empty container reposition plan,screen the key process of the empty container reposition link.In terms of cost management,clarify the objectives of empty container reposition,enhance the importance of empty container reposition cost decision-making and continuously evaluate the cost control of empty container reposition,through top-down guidance,strengthen cost management awareness.Through a comprehensive understanding,control and improvement of the empty container reposition cost structure,to better help the Yangtze River section of Enterprise A in the empty container reposition work on the overall upgrade and bring more benefits to enterprise.
