| At present,China’s urban development has turned to a new development stage of stock renewal. The focus of urban renewal and development has also changed to improve the quality of life of residents and rationally optimize the allocation of space resources. With the outbreak of the COVID-19 in 2020,it has also sounded the alarm for urban public health."Public health" has also become one of the most important urban construction issues. As the connection between urban and rural areas, small town is an important carrier for China’s future urbanization development.Improving the high-quality development of small towns is an important task for the next step in urban and rural construction.Under the policy guidance of Healthy China 2030,how to improve the level of public health in the renewal of small towns is an important starting point for the construction of small towns in the future.Due to the early construction period of the old urban areas in small town, facing problems such as outdated infrastructure, traffic congestion, poor environmental comfort, and dark culture,it cannot well meet the living needs of residents in the new era,and also face a variety of update requirements. At the same time, the renewal of the built environment of small towns is closely related to the physical and mental health of the residents. The practical problems such as environmental degradation in the old urban areas of small towns make residents pay more and more attention to personal and social health.Residents’ demands for healthy living are also increasing. As a new concept proposed by the current national land space planning, the urban living circle is also the spatial unit of residents’ ideal life. Therefore, how to integrate healthy design into the renewal and construction of urban living circles is particularly important for improving the quality of urban living space and building healthy towns. This paper takes the health-oriented life circle as the research proposition, and takes the small town and the old urban area as the research scope.Based on the analysis of domestic and foreign theories and practice, this paper summarizes the core configuration elements that affect public health in the living circle of small towns :public service facilities, public space and road network. On this basis, take the old urban area of Quyang County,Hebei Province as the specific research object.First of all,the current layout of different spatial facilities is analyzed through big data collection,GIS analysis and other methods, and spatial characteristics of the old urban areas of small towns are analyzed, and through questionnaires and field visits in the old urban area, collect data on residents’ travel mode, frequency, distance and satisfaction, analyze the daily behavior characteristics of residents in small towns. Then select 6 typical communities in the old city, delineate the community life circle for in-depth research.Using the core density analysis, road network analysis and other methods of the Arc GIS platform to analyze the distribution status and configuration of public service facilities, public spaces, road networks in the case community, and analyze the rationality of the layout of space facilities.Summarize the problems existing in the current configuration elements in the living circle of the old city. Finally, guided by the existing problems of the old urban living circle, combined with the interactive influence relationship between various spatial elements and residents’ health behaviors. This paper proposes a renewal and construction strategy to improve public service facilities, shape public space, and improve road networks, promote the occurrence of residents’ health activities, create a small town living circle that promotes public health, and improve the health level of small towns. |
