Traditional villages are silent witnesses of Chinese civilization for thousands of years,and are important material materials for studying the development of Chinese civilization.The overall development of traditional villages is relatively slow due to their own inadequate conditions and historical influences.Although the villages can be lifted out of poverty in an allround way,it is very easy to get back into poverty.Therefore,it is imperative to formulate effective protection and development plans for traditional villages and consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation.Traditional villages,which are related by consanguinity,have developed into clan,a village organization with strong ritual characteristics.The influence of clan structure on villages is also reflected in all aspects,and it is an important starting point to study the evolution of traditional villages,folk culture and spatial form.Take Caogong Village as an example.This village is located in Yicheng County,Shanxi Province.This is a well-known long-established and culturally village.Take clan structure as the starting point,through literature research,field research,research across disciplines statistics classification and additional study methods,this paper sorts out the development of Hou Shi clan in Caogong Village,seeks its influence on the development and construction of the village,and summarizes the spatial morphological characteristics of Caogong Village.On this basis,combined with the current situation data of villages obtained through field investigation,targeted protection measures and development plans are formulated and issued for Caogong Village.This article consists of six chapters,which can be summarized into the following three parts:The first portion is the content of foundation study.Firstly,the policy background and practical background of the protection and development of traditional villages are sorted out,and the meaning and objective of the research are unambiguous.After that,the research object of this paper,Caogong Village,and the congruent research contents are come up with,and the appropriate research methods are selected.Finally,through the study of the research results of experts and scholars in traditional villages and clan-based traditional villages,the related concepts are clarified,which lays a theoretical foundation for the following specific research on Caogong Village.The second part is a case analysis part,which is composed of the background analysis of village formation in Chapter 3 and the spatial form analysis in Chapter 4.This paper makes a elaborative analysis of the location condition,natural status quo and cultural environment of the area where Caogong Village is located,traces the development of the Hou clan in Caogong,and the influence of clan structure on the integral distribution of the village,the road system,communal edifice and the compound of life.It is concluded that Caogong Village has the spatial pattern characteristics of five residential groups with different surnames and consanguinity as the spatial boundary.The spatial characteristics of streets and alleys with distinct road grades,different street shapes and "Tian"-shaped street and alley network;The public space characteristics of the courtyard layout dominated by temples and ancestral halls;Courtyard space features of clear etiquette,clear layout and rich decoration.The third part is the research achievement part composed of the fifth chapter village protection and development and the sixth chapter conclusion.Using the methods of questionnaire survey and field survey,this paper finds out the existing problems of Caogong Village,and sums up various values of the village.Grasping the problems in reality and connecting with the characteristics of villages,in the protection work,the protection of clan culture is one of the protection principles,and the protection content,protection scope and protection strategy are defined.In the development planning,it is clear that the development orientation of villages is based on humanistic tourism and ecological leisure,and the ultimate goal is to inherit folk culture,carry forward clan spirit,build livable villages and lead regional development.The objective of this paper is to supply a instance reference for the safeguard and evolution of the same types of coventional villages in Shanxi by studying Caogong Village,a traditional village with a single surname,hoping to make some contributions to the protection of traditional villages.
