| There is a close relationship between railway changes and urban development. With the acceleration of the urbanization process, many cities have lost their original functions and values due to a series of factors such as traffic changes, urban space expansion, and industrial transfer.Abandoned railway sections have gradually become a gray space that aggravates environmental pollution, affects citizens’ lives, and divides the city.As a typical abandoned railway area formed by urban development,it not only seriously affects the image of the city, but also has great potential safety hazards. It is an urgent problem that the government needs to deal with in urban governance, and it needs to be renovated and updated. The research object of this paper is the Taibai Railway, which is of great cultural and historical value in Taiyuan City. The Taibai Railway Bridge spans the Fenhe Wetland, and its surrounding ecological background is good.Taiyuan City’s Jiancao District Park planning map has included the Taibai Railway Site Park into the future planning scope. This paper firstly studies the relevant theoretical basis of the landscape regeneration design of abandoned railway sections, synthesizes domestic and foreign research results, and summarizes the existing problems of abandoned railway sections from four levels of government, public, landscape planning and ecological restoration;Six regeneration directions are proposed—urban public space, leisure greenway, commercial block, art space and sightseeing railway, and the design strategy for landscape regeneration of railway wasteland is extracted.On-site research, according to the characteristics of the city and the current situation of the site, the final planning scheme is designed for the railway abandoned land and the surrounding usable land. This study provides a reference for creating a linear landscape space that can stimulate urban memory and is rich in historical accumulation, promote the construction of urban ecological environment, improve the quality of residents’ leisure life, and inherit historical and cultural memory. |
