| In recent years, with the increase of the number of shipping companies in the container liner shipping market, the container transport capacity has far exceeded the demand for container freight. The market state of oversupply leads to the increasingly fierce competition among enterprises. For container liner shipping enterprises, effective pricing strategy is the top priority if they want to maximize profits and increase market share under the current fierce competition environment.Accurate evaluation of shipping service value by liner enterprises is an important link to make effective pricing strategy, and the shipping service value can be reflected by perceived price. The perceived price studied in this thesis refers to the lowest price that the carrier can accept for the transportation service provided by the liner company in its actual operation.By calculating the perceived prices of different O-D pairs of inter-container liner transportation services in the route network, enterprises can have a more accurate grasp of their own situation, thus providing reliable theoretical support for liner companies to formulate pricing strategies. This thesis studies the perceived container shipment pricing based on container assignment.Through the establishment of a two-stage optimization model, the perceived price of different O-D to inter-liner transportation service in the route network is obtained. In the first stage,a mixed integer programming model was established to minimize the total operating cost, and the optimal fleet deployment and container assignment scheme was obtained. In the second stage, based on the model and optimal solution of the first stage, the perceptual pricing model is established by the inverse optimization method with the objective function of maximizing airline operating profit, and the two-stage model is solved by CPLEX.In addition, based on the Asia-Europe and Oceania route network and the actual transport demand data of a liner company, this thesis makes an example analysis to effectively calculate the perceived price of each O-D pair of inter-liner transport services in the Asia-Europe and Oceania route network, and verifies the feasibility of the two-stage model.Through the analysis of the solution results, the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)The corresponding perceived price of O-D in the same intercontinental region is relatively low;(2)If the demand in the round-trip direction between two ports is greater than 0,then the perceived price in the round-trip direction is the same;(3)The perceived price does not change with the change of O-D demand. |
