With China’s deep aging, the public is paying more and more attention to the needs related to medical and elderly care, and it is important to address the end-of-life care needs of the elderly through hospice care. However, hospice care in China is not sufficiently developed, the public has little understanding of hospice care, and participation in hospice care is not high,so there is still a gap between hospice care in China and that in developed countries. At present, domestic research on hospice care is very concerned with quality of care and quality of life, but the field is mainly focused on medical care and medical management;design research on hospice care is still very scarce, and a few focus on the architectural and environmental design of hospice care, while the current society has entered a stage that emphasizes service experience and social innovation, and design thinking emphasizes the interdisciplinary and cross-border integration of Design thinking emphasizes the intersection of disciplines and cross-sectoral integration that can provide hospice care with a greater exploration of human behavior, emotions, and needs. This study uses service design methods and tools to explore stakeholder needs in a real hospice context, and combines product and service system theories to produce a digital product and service system for hospice care of the disabled in a combined health care context.Chapter 1 introduces the research background of this topic, the status of domestic and international research, the purpose and significance of the topic, the content and methodology of the topic, and the difficulties and innovations,so as to illustrate the importance of this research.Chapter 2 elaborates the current situation of hospice care in China, starting from the combined medical and nursing care service in the elderly service, clarifying the concept of elderly service, focusing on the supply diversification and resource integration characteristics of the combined medical and nursing care model, delving into the hospice care scenario in the combined medical and nursing care service, and analyzing the problems faced by hospice care in China nowadays.Chapter 3 introduces the concepts of service and product service system, explains the many concepts involved, discusses the complex nature of medical services that distinguish them from ordinary services, discusses the systemic,multi-object,user-oriented,co-creative,and interdisciplinary characteristics of services from a design perspective, explains the research development of medical service design, and analyzes and compares medical service related design cases.Chapter 4 takes the Qingkang Geriatric Care Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University as an example and uses service design research methods and tools to conduct observations and interviews to summarize the phenomena and problems of hospice care in real medical care scenarios through interviews, sort out the needs of all parties through different stakeholder perspectives and different situations, and summarize the three major design principles of care-oriented hospice care.Chapter 5 takes the First Hospital of Chongqing Medical University Qingkang Geriatric Care Center as an example to build a care-oriented hospice digital product service system, and proposes service system and digital product design solutions for important contexts in hospice services.Chapter 6 summarizes the conclusions and outlook of this study.
