The year 2021 is the opening year of the 14th Five-Year Plan of the country,the country strongly supports the "specialization and special new" and solves the "neck" problem of hard science and technology,and the whole society pays more attention to the important role of sensors,smart meters and IOT technology in the socio-economic development.HW Group is a well-known gas sensor and instrument manufacturer and IOT application solution provider in China.The company takes sensors as the core and builds the whole ecosystem of IoT.Its R&D organization is centered in Zhengzhou,with R&D sub-platforms set up in Beijing,Shanghai,Wuhan,Chengdu and other places,with more than 600 R&D personnel.Through continuous exploration and innovation of R&D management,many practical experiences have been accumulated,but there are also some shortcomings,from the setting of organizational structure to cross-departmental resource collaboration,from workflow management to R&D data management,from single business chain to comprehensive promotion of R&D projects,new problems keep emerging.At present,there is an urgent need to optimize the R&D management of HW Group.This paper firstly introduces the basic concept of R&D management,relevant theories of R&D management,relevant tools and methods.Secondly,using field survey and interview methods,the current situation of R&D management in HW Group is analyzed,and five problems in R&D process management,R&D requirement management,R&D data management,R&D document management and R&D team management are found,and the causes of the problems are analyzed qualitatively.Again,this paper uses integrated product development management theory and product lifecycle management theory as guidance,selects product portfolio strategy model and ESIA analysis method as optimization tools,and follows the optimization principles of systematization,simplification and overall optimization to optimize the five key aspects of HW Group’s R&D process management,R&D demand management,R&D data management,R&D document management and R&D team management.Finally,to ensure the smooth implementation of the optimization plan,this paper provides guarantee measures from four aspects,including human resources,system,capital and culture.Based on the actual situation,this paper designs a solution with practical significance to the development of R&D management of HW Group,and cures the application in PLM software system,finally realizing the R&D management mode of combining the unified and divided,and providing an efficient and shared R&D management mechanism,providing a theoretical and practical basis for the group to solve the shortcomings and crisis faced in the field of R&D management,which not only enables the group’s R&D management to develop in a more scientific direction,but also provides a reference for the development of other companies.
