Research On The Impact Of Digital Economy On High-quality Development Of Equipment Manufacturing Industry From The Perspective Of Global Value Chai

It is beyond dispute that the digital economy has got dramatic developed in the breakthrough of a new round of scientific and technological revolution,which plays an indispensable role in stimulating consumption,driving investments and creating employment,providing new development opportunities for the weak global economy.As the backbone of the manufacturing industry,the equipment manufacturing industry suffers from many obstacles in china.Fortunately,the digital economy paths the road for China’s equipment manufacturing industry to break the "low-end lock-in" and then develop to high quality.Thus,this study this study first teases out the relevant literature and theories about the development of the digital economy and equipment manufacturing industry and discusses the mechanism of action between them.Furthermore,the entropy weight method and DEA-Malmquist index method are employed to measure the development level digital economy and equipment manufacturing industry in 41 countries from 2008 to 2017 respectively,and the changes in China are analyzed subsequently.Ultimately,the promotion mechanism of the digital economy to total factor productivity of the EMI is deeply explored in the empirical aspect.By studying the above aspects,the following conclusion can be obtained.Firstly,the enhancement of the digital economy,including Digital Infrastructure,Digital Innovation Environment and Digital Competition Intensity,is crucial in driving the TFP of the EMI.In contrast with developed countries,there keep considerable effects on the high-quality development of the EMI from the digital economy in developing countries.Next,there exists the mesomeric effect on the TFP of the EMI that comes from three mediating variables,and that is the high-quality development of the EMI can be driven by the digital economy via raising the status of the global value chain,upgrading the industry structure,and enhancing the quality efficiency.Thirdly,that remains the nonlinear relationship between the development of the digital economy and the EMI by considering the capital level and industrial structure.Finally,some practical policy suggestions are put forward for the EMI to climb to a high-quality level from the perspective of the digital economy.
