The construction industry in China,which is a labor-intensive traditional industry,has a long construction cycle and numerous participants.However,there are still many problems,such as waste of resources and energy,low production efficiency,and increasingly strict cost management.These issues have hindered the further development and innovation of the construction industry,and also affect the competitiveness of construction enterprises.Therefore,how to effectively solve these problems and improve the efficiency and sustainability of the construction industry has become an important issue.In this fiercely competitive construction market,in order to complete projects with quality and quantity assurance and achieve certain economic benefits,it is particularly important to manage the entire process of cost.With the rapid development of information technology in recent years,the application of BIM technology in construction engineering has become an undeniable trend.Its three-dimensional visibility,simulation,coordination and other characteristics provide enterprises with a new way of working.Meanwhile,the characteristics has greatly improved the design,construction,maintenance and management of construction engineering.All in all,introducing BIM technology into the entire process cost management of construction projects not only enables the rational allocation of personnel,materials,and mechanical resources used in construction,but also achieves the goal of reducing engineering costs and increasing project profits.Firstly,it has reviewed a large number of literature and relevant information to understand the relevant theoretical concepts and the current status of BIM application in this article;Secondly,starting from the various stages of B construction project,the application of BIM technology in specific cost management work was discussed;Then,through literature research and questionnaires to communicate with experienced experts,it has constructed a model by using Analytic Hierarchy Process.The model helps to obtain the weights of the influencing factors and indicators of BIM technology in the entire process cost management of B construction project;Finally,based on the calculation results,the key points to be grasped in the various stages of BIM technology in B construction project cost management were proposed,and relevant opinions were given on the shortcomings of BIM technology and its application in future cost management.
