Since entering the 21 st century,the auto market is facing increasingly fierce competition both at home and abroad,and customers have higher and higher requirements for comfort and quality of automotive products.This puts forward higher requirements for the product design and technology accumulation of major OEMs.How to improve product quality,shorten the research and development cycle,and reduce product costs,while providing consumers with products that are more in line with customer needs,has become one of the urgent needs and key tasks of major OEMs.This thesis first reviews the status quo of quality improvement based on Six Sigma design theory at home and abroad,introduces the problem of poor comfort in the use of dashboard glove boxes in Y company,and uses the Six Sigma design IDDOV process as the design quality improvement framework.Starting from the collection of customer voices,including the voices of external customers and internal customers,the needs of external customers are collected mainly in the form of questionnaires,and SPSS analysis software is used to perform reliability,validity,and factor analysis,and finally rank customer needs.Then,the first-class quality house is used to transform customer needs into key quality characteristics,and the second-level house of quality is used to convert key quality characteristics into key product characteristics.According to the key product characteristics,38 conceptual design schemes were designed and reviewed using methods such as IFR,5WHY and TRIZ.And then through the influence effort matrix and Pugh matrix and other methods to choose the scheme,and get the optimal design scheme.Through the DOE experimental design,the product optimization model is established and analyzed,the Minitab response optimizer is used to optimally solve the parameter values of the key product characteristics,and the correctness of the model is verified through the Minitab prediction function and rapid sample production.Finally,through rapid sample verification,the product reached the expected effect of the project and met the requirements of the customer and the project.This thesis comprehensively studied the quality improvement activities of Y enterprise dashboard glove box use comfort design and verified the improvement effect.It is hoped that this paper can be used as a reference for the improvement of product design quality of domestic auto companies.
