Research On The Digitization Of Highway Administration In Hebei Province

Digitalization has become a significant benchmark for assessing the governance capabilities of nations,societies,and enterprises.Highways,as a vital component of transportation systems,face numerous challenges in their development and management due to the continuous increase in social traffic volume and the growing complexity of transportation administration.As one of the key administrative forces responsible for managing highways,the highway administration department is committed to enhancing the efficiency and service quality of highway management through digitalization,ensuring the smooth operation of highways,traffic safety,and user experience.The aim of this study is to explore the issues and strategies related to the digitalization of highway administration in Hebei Province.By drawing on Nolan’s stage model and digital governance theory,this research seeks to provide insights into the development of digitalization in the highway administration of Hebei Province.This study employs research methods such as questionnaire surveys and data analysis.Through analyzing feedback from both employees and the general public,it investigates the current issues and challenges faced in the digitalization of highway administration in Hebei Province.The findings reveal several issues in the digitalization of highway administration in Hebei Province,including incomplete policies and institutional frameworks,insufficient digital literacy among employees,limited public user experience,low effectiveness of digital technology applications,weak data standardization management,and inadequate data privacy and security measures.To address these issues,this study proposes a series of strategic recommendations,including advancing coordinated planning,strengthening learning,education,and assessment,prioritizing a human-centric approach,reinforcing foundational data infrastructure,enhancing data sharing,and maintaining a focus on risk control.These recommendations aim to improve the application and management effectiveness of digitalization,promote the digitalization of highway administration in Hebei Province,and foster further digital development in the transportation sector.This research holds significant practical significance for the digitalization of highway administration in Hebei Province.By addressing the challenges in digitalization,highway management agencies can strengthen decision-making based on scientific principles,promote the widespread adoption of digital technologies,and realize modernization,intelligence,and convenience in highway administration,thus better adapting to the needs of the transportation industry’s development.Furthermore,this study provides valuable references for relevant research and practices,serving as a guide and inspiration for digitalization initiatives in other regions and the transportation industry as a whole.
