Research On The Evolution Of Cultural Resources In The Chinese Large Cities:A Diversity-Evenness Perspective

In the past few decades,China has experienced a rapid urbanization process,and great achievements have been made in urbanization.Among them,cultural resources play an important role.Cultural resources not only guide the construction of social spiritual civilization and ecological civilization but also serve as a new driving force to promote economic development.However,the rapid urbanization process not only promotes the prosperity of Chinese cultural undertakings and industries but also causes the deterioration of the urban cultural environment and the depletion of some cultural resources to a certain extent,which restricts the sustainable development of cultural resources.Based on this,this paper takes Chinese large cities as the research object to explore the evolution law of cultural resources,aiming to understand the current situation and trend of cultural resources development under the background of rapid urbanization by studying the evolution degree,speed,and direction of cultural resources,and then propose targeted policy recommendations.This research mainly includes the following research contents: 1)Identify the connotation and types of cultural resources.Through the sorting and analysis of existing documents and materials,the connotation and types of cultural resources are scientifically and systematically defined.2)Build a cultural resource index system and evaluation model.By connecting the national new era cultural construction policy,sorting out the existing cultural resources literature,and combining the three-pillar concept of urban sustainable development,the cultural resource diversity evaluation index system is constructed with the help of a scientific,comprehensive,representative,and operational principles.And from the dual perspectives of richness and evenness,an evaluation model of cultural resource diversity is constructed.3)Empirical research.Based on the panel data of 14 large cities in China from 1999 to 2018,an empirical study was conducted to explore the evolution law of cultural resources and their richness and evenness in the sample cities from 1999 to 2018 and to analyze the differences of the empirical results.4)Analysis of evolution law.Based on the two-dimensional perspective of richness-evenness,an analysis framework for the evolution of cultural resources is constructed from the three dimensions of evolution degree,speed and direction,that is,to explore the evolution degree of cultural resources from the perspectives of time and spatial,and to evaluate the evolution speed of cultural resources from the perspectives of richness and evenness,and the types of the evolution direction of cultural resources are screened,and corresponding development strategies and suggestions are put forward.The main conclusions of this study are as follows: 1)In terms of the evolution degree of cultural resources,on the time scale,the cultural resources diversity index of14 large cities in China showed a stable growth trend from 1999 to 2018,and it can be seen that there are significant differences in the diversity of the same city in different years.Among them,the richness of cultural resources shows a downward state,and the evenness shows a stable upward trend.On the spatial scale,the diversity of cultural resources in different regions is also significantly different.In recent years,the cities with continuous development include the central cities represented by Zhengzhou and Wuhan,the cities in the Yangtze River Delta represented by Shanghai,Nanjing and Hangzhou,and the cities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area represented by Guangzhou and Shenzhen.For the richness of cultural resources,the central-western cities represented by Chongqing,Chengdu and Xi’an,the central-eastern cities represented by Zhengzhou and Wuhan,and the cities in the Yangtze River Delta represented by Shanghai,Nanjing and Hangzhou have all declined.For the evenness of cultural resources,almost all large cities have improved to some extent.2)From the perspective of the evolution speed of cultural resources,the diversity index and richness index of cultural resources experienced a cross change trend of positive growth and negative growth from 1999 to 2018,and mainly negative growth in recent years,while the evenness index has maintained positive growth,reflecting that the diversity of cultural resources is greatly affected by the richness index of cultural resources.In terms of growth range,most of the time,the change range of richness index is higher than that of diversity and evenness.At the same time,the growth range of richness,evenness and diversity has been decreasing in recent years.3)From the perspective of the evolution direction of cultural resources,cultural resources can be divided into "growth type","fluctuation type" and "recession type".Based on these directions,this paper puts forward corresponding policy suggestions.
