The geographical features of the Zijiang River Basin have given birth to a unique water-adaptive landscape pattern of traditional villages,and condensed a lot of living wisdom experience.However,the current research on traditional villages in the Zijiang River Basin mainly focuses on the architectural style,the shape,structure and evolution of physical space,and lacks research on the composition and internal generation mechanism of water-adaptive landscapes.Pattern language is a study of the prototype of landscape space and its interrelationship in the process of its formation,which is conducive to revealing the internal connection of various landscape space element combinations,starting from the pattern and based on the logic of the pattern.Based on the theory and method of pattern language,analyzing the pattern prototype and formation mechanism of traditional villages in the Zijiang River Basin from the perspective of "water adaptability" is conducive to identifying and constructing the"shape of ecological wisdom" in the water-adaptive landscape of traditional villages in the Zijiang River Basin.",which is also conducive to the inheritance and innovation of traditional ecological wisdom in the Zijiang River Basin.Based on this,the fully sorting out the domestic and foreign literature,the paper draws on the "character","word","phrase","syntax" and "context" of the pattern language to combine the concrete wateradaptive landscape object and The formation process is abstracted and conceptualized,and the logical and systematic analysis of the space is realized.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Research framework of spatial pattern language of water-adaptive landscape.Drawing on the theory and method of pattern language,the thesis constructs a research framework of water-adaptive landscape space pattern language from three aspects:"pattern vocabulary","spatial grammar" and "spatial context".Pattern vocabulary is the constituent elements of water-adaptive space,space grammar is the evolution mechanism of water-adaptive space,and spatial context is the generation background of water-adaptive space.The three parts form a whole through interaction,with life adaptation and production adaptation.and ecological adaptation to the stable water adaptive spatial pattern of traditional villages.(2)Pattern vocabulary of water-adaptive landscapes in traditional villages in the Zijiang River Basin.In order to extract the water-adaptive landscape pattern vocabulary accurately and scientifically,firstly,according to the main influencing factors of water adaptability,six batches of 39 traditional villages in the basin were divided into plain waterfront type,hilly waterfront type,and hilly waterfront type by using hierarchical clustering.There are four types:" Plain-waterfront"、“Hill-waterfront"、"HillInshorewater" and "Mountatinous-Inshorewater".Then,the "characters","words"and "phrases" of the water-adaptive landscape pictorial vocabulary of the four types of traditional villages were identified and extracted,and 79 basic patterns and combinations of the four types of water-adaptive vocabulary were summarized.There are 115 kinds of patterns.Rich landscape elements and space units have multiple functions,and also create possibilities for the diversity of phrases.(3)Spatial grammar of water-adaptive landscape in traditional villages in the Zijiang River Basin.Function-rich water-adaptive composite spatial units and spatial patterns are constructed through horizontal and vertical processes such as repetition,nesting,interweaving,juxtaposition and overlapping.Rich vocabulary and syntax are the internal driving force for the formation of water-adaptive space mechanisms and functions.The combination of efficient and streamlined vocabulary and syntax allows words and phrases to play a variety of water-adaptive landscape functions.(4)The spatial context of the water-adaptive landscape of traditional villages in the Zijiang River Basin.Context is the background of spatial development.Under the joint action of natural,material and social contexts,the water-adaptive landscape of traditional villages in the Zijiang River Basin is formed and maintained.The natural context includes waters,topography,and climate.The material context refers to industrial technology and transportation.The social context is composed of customs,folk beliefs and construction techniques.In the protection of the water-adaptive landscape of traditional villages,not only the protection of the spatial form,but also the continuation of the local natural,material and social contexts should be paid attention to.These continuations are mainly reflected in the localization of construction materials,crafts and usage methods.(5)Water adaptability optimization strategy based on pattern language.Selecting Dongshi Community,a typical village in the Zijiang River Basin,as an empirical case,under the guidance of the principles of people-oriented,common development and ecological priority,from word protection(the protection of the material elements of the water environment),phrase optimization(to adapt to the transformation of the function meaning of the water environment))and context maintenance(water adaptive sustainable development)to propose a specific water-adaptive landscape protection strategy based on pattern language.
