| Rural roads,as an important component of the road network,play an important role in the construction of the national economy.In recent years,with the continuous development of the urbanization economy in the Yangtze River Delta region where Kunshan City is located,local rural roads need to bear more passenger and freight pressure.The level of road maintenance and management cannot meet the growing needs of urban and rural economic development.In terms of rural road management and maintenance,there are problems such as poor road conditions,unsmooth management system,shortage of maintenance funds,and outdated maintenance technology.This paper regards rural roads as quasi public goods and proposes that the government should play a leading role in improving the supply efficiency of rural roads.By sorting out the current needs,models,scales,and characteristics of rural road maintenance and management in Kunshan City,we aim to identify loopholes in government led management.By combining the theory of new public services,we compare advanced maintenance and management experiences at home and abroad,analyze problems,and propose countermeasures,in order to provide inspiration for improving the level of rural road maintenance and management in this region. |
