The ship lock needs to consume a certain amount of water resources during the operation of the ship lock. When the water resources are scarce during the dry season, the water used for the ship lock operation aggravates the contradiction with the surrounding residents’ production and living water, which in turn affects the ship lock operation scheduling and the navigation of ships. Therefore,it is necessary to study the ship lock operation scheduling strategy from the perspective of improving the comprehensive utilization of water resources and joint scheduling.Taking the Yangjiawan and Xiaba ship locks of Wushen Line as examples, this paper summarizes and analyzes the actual operation data of a large number of ship locks collected, and establishes a comprehensive cost model for ship passing through locks and a cascade ship lock from the perspective of economic benefits and load balance. The load balancing model analyzes the operation and scheduling strategy of the ship lock and provides a reference for the operation and control of the ship lock. The specific contents and conclusions are as follows:Firstly, according to the collected actual operation data of Yangjiawan and Xiaba locks, analyze the operating conditions such as the design navigable water level, water level variation characteristics, water consumption, etc.,to determine the water level range for safe navigation of ships, and the variation characteristics of the upstream and downstream water levels of the locks in different seasons. The parameters required for ship lock operation and scheduling, such as ship traffic flow, the number of ships passing through the lock at one time, the daily average number of lock openings, the time of one time passing the lock and the ship delay time, are analyzed to provide data for the following research on the operation and scheduling of the ship lock.Secondly, from the perspective of economic benefits,a comprehensive cost model for ship passing through locks is established, and the optimal number of locks is solved by using the G/G/1,M/M/1 queuing model and the ship lock traffic simulation model, and the analysis is emphatically analyzed in the dry season and the flood season. The number of locks when the ship passes through the lock with the minimum cost. The relationship between the number of ship lock openings and the operating cost of a single lock, the ship delay cost, the ship arrival rate, and the number of ships passing through the lock at one time is studied.Incrementally.Taking the actual operation data of Yangjiawan and Xiaba ship locks in 2020 as an example, the optimization strategy of ship lock operation scheduling is proposed:(1)The number of ships descending in dry season and flood season is less, and the number of gate openings can be appropriately reduced by 1~2 times;(2))During the dry season, the upward opening times of the Yangjiawan and Xiaba ship locks can be reduced by 1 on the existing basis;(3)During the flood season, the upward opening times of the Yangjiawan and Xiaba ship locks can be increased by 3 on the current basis.times,1~2 gate times. Finally,a mathematical model of load balance of cascade ship locks is established, and the functional relationship between the water level difference between Xiaba and Yangjiawan ship lock is obtained through regression analysis. The influence of water level difference and ship exit speed on the ship lock scheduling is analyzed, and the ship lock operation scheduling strategy is proposed:the water level difference of the Xiaba ship lock is larger than that of the Yangjiawan ship lock. The waiting time should be 6min,8min and 12 min respectively.Heavy and no-load ships have different exit speeds.Take the ships going up the ship locks in the lower dam as an example. When the heavy and no-load ships are dispatched separately, each lock can save about 2 minutes, especially when the heavy-load ships account for the proportion of the daily opening times. When it is higher, the saved time of passing the gate can be opened one more time.
