Under the reform wave of "return to practice" in engineering education,the emphasis of circuit experiment teaching gradually shifts to the direction of training engineering practical ability,and the traditional teaching methods cannot meet the new requirements.The reform theory of CDIO engineering education mode can effectively improve students’ engineering practice ability.In the absence of appropriate theoretical guidance in circuit experiment teaching,this study combines CDIO theory with circuit experiment teaching to explore the application methods and development approaches of CDIO in circuit experiment teaching.Based on the theoretical requirements of CDIO and the research status of circuit experiment teaching,this study determined the basic route of developing system assisted teaching,and discussed the design,development and application of circuit experiment teaching system.Firstly,the concept of engineering practical ability in circuit experiment teaching is defined,and CDIO and its related theories are reviewed.Secondly,it analyzes the current situation of circuit experiment teaching,summarizes the teaching needs of basic theory of circuit,circuit experiment skills and engineering practical ability,and determines the theoretical support method of circuit experiment teaching needs according to the theoretical review of CDIO,so as to obtain the integrated teaching resources of circuit experiment teaching system,the timely feedback mechanism and the functional needs of project teaching links.Then,based on the functional requirements of the circuit experiment teaching system,the corresponding teaching resource module,teaching guidance module and teaching process module are designed and developed,and the circuit experiment teaching system is composed together with the teaching management module and the dual-machine communication module.Finally,a controlled experiment is carried out in the circuit experiment teaching "Triode Project",with teaching method as the independent variable and students’ engineering practice ability as the dependent variable.The difference of teaching effect between the system and the traditional method is compared.According to the data analysis results,it is concluded that the CDIO-based circuit experiment teaching system can effectively promote the development of students’ engineering practice ability.The conclusion of improving students’ academic achievement verifies the scientific and teaching effect of this research and development system.In conclusion,this study applies the CDIO theory to the circuit experiment teaching,explores the design and development approach of the teaching system,provides a timely feedback mechanism single-chip microcomputer implementation method,effectively promotes the improvement of students’ engineering practical ability,and provides a reference for the circuit experiment teaching in the new era.
