Study On The Urban System Of Jinan Prefecture In Kangxi Period Of Qing Dynasty

The historical study of the urban system in Jinan Prefecture plays an important role in supporting the implementation of national and provincial strategies and the formulation of relevant plans for the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin and the integrated development of the provincial capital economic circle.Based on the construction of the urban system of Prefectural domain in Qing Dynasty,this thesis takes Jinan Prefecture in Shandong Province during the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty as an example to analyze the functional combination,hierarchical scale and spatial structure characteristics of the urban system in Qing Dynasty.At the same time,based on the comparative analysis of the urban system of Jinan Prefecture at that time and the current relevant planning content,this thesis proposes targeted inspirations for the development of the provincial capital economic circle.After research,the main conclusions are as follows:(1)The research framework for the urban system of Jinan Prefecture during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty is constructed.By reviewing and interpreting the relevant theories of urban system,combined with the support level of relevant historical materials,this thesis puts forward the analysis framework of the urban system in the Qing Dynasty from three aspects:urban functional combination,hierarchical scale and spatial structure.Firstly,in terms of functional combination,the types of functional combination of urbans of prefectural area are judged based on the analysis of political,economic,cultural,military and religious elements.In addition,in terms of hierarchical scale,based on the analysis of population size and urban scale elements,the hierarchical scale of urbans of prefectural area is divided.Finally,in terms of spatial structure,the thesis puts forward the urban spatial structure of prefectural area based on the analysis of prefectural area center,prefectural area development axis and spatial partition elements.(2)The thesis empirically analyzes the characteristics of the urban system of Jinan Prefecture in Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty.In terms of functional combination,the functional combination of 30 cities in Jinan prefecture during the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty can be divided into comprehensive type,characteristic type and general type,and the quantitative structure of the three is 4:10:16.Jinan Fucheng(Licheng),Tai ’an,Wuding and Dezhou city functions are comprehensive type.In terms of grade scale,the city scale of Jinan prefecture in Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty can be divided into three levels: high,medium and basic city.The quantity structure is 3:7:20,which basically conforms to the grade modulus of urban organization under the market principle in the Central place theory.Among them,The city of Jinan Fucheng(Licheng),Dezhou and Wuding are higher cities;In terms of spatial structure,Jinan Prefecture presents a spatial pattern of "one core,three centers,four districts and four axes"."One core" refers to Jinan Fucheng(Licheng),"three centers" refers to Dezhou,Tai ’an and Wuding three sub-centers,"four zones" refers to the central area,coastal area,canal area and mountainous and hilly area,and "four axes" refers to the Beijing-Fujian development axis,East-west development axis,Beijing-Qingzhou development axis and Daqing River development axis.(3)It is found that the urban system pattern of Jinan Prefecture in the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty has a certain continuity with the current provincial capital economic circle.In terms of functional combination,during the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty,comprehensive cities such as Jinan Fucheng(Licheng),Tai’an,and Dezhou are still comprehensive cities in the provincial capital economic circle today.In terms of scale,although the scale of city of Jinan prefecture in Kangxi period is not comparable with that of today’s cities,the scale level has historical inheritance.The advanced city in Kangxi period is still a high-level city in the provincial capital economic circle now.In terms of spatial structure,the ancient and modern spatial structures of the two regional cities have certain compatibility.In the Kangxi period,the central and sub-central,zoning and axis of Jinan prefecture have been strengthened and transformed in the contemporary regional integration development planning.The research framework of prefectural urban system constructed in this thesis has an important supporting role in strengthening the historical research of urban system.At the same time,the empirical research conclusion of the urban system of Jinan prefecture in Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty can not only provide support for the formation of regional common consciousness of the integrated development of Jinan and its surrounding regions,but also provide reference for the planning and policy making of the provincial capital’s economic circle.
