Research On The Export Trade Potential Of China’s Mechanical And Electronic Products To India

Since China’s reform and opening up,the State Council,the ministry of foreign trade,Ministry of Finance proposed to promote the export of mechanical and electronic products such as several opinions.Since joining the world trade organization,China’s mechanical and electrical products export trade scale expands unceasingly.At present,the mechanical and electronic products has become a pillar of China’s foreign trade products,is one of the important force to promote the economic development of our country.In 2020,the top three products exported by China to India were mechanical and electrical products,chemical products,base metals and products,among which mechanical and electrical products accounted for49.5% of the total export trade.The two countries have great potential for cooperation in the field of mechanical and electronic products.But for now,the deepening of sino-indian trade cooperation influenced by multiple factors.To understand the present situation of our for India’s mechanical and electrical products export trade,to explore the influence of the main factors of the mechanical and electrical products export trade in our country.And from the level of overall and classification calculation and analysis of the corresponding trade potential,to determine whether there is room for improvement,export trade how to further excavate potential.This is to explore the development of India’s mechanical and electrical products export trade of necessary problem.The sustainable development of China to India mechanical and electrical products export trade,is beneficial to facilitate bilateral trade and economic cooperation and promote meng sino-indian economic corridor cooperation and "area" construction,has an important role on bilateral and even the world.First of all,this paper uses the relevant data of our export trade of mechanical and electrical products to India from 2006 to 2020.From the trade scale,trade structure,trade competitive and complementary system,trade each other four aspects analyzes the present situation of China’s mechanical and electrical products export trade to India.The study found that the export volume of mechanical and electrical products to India showed an increasing trend during the study period,and there were significant differences in the export trade proportion of various products.Export products mainly concentrated in category 76,77 and 75,mainly middle-technology engineering products,high-tech electronic and electrical products.China’s mechanical and electrical products have strong market competitiveness,there is a certain degree of complementarity in the trade of mechanical and electrical products between China and India,and the Indian market has a strong dependence on our mechanical and electrical products.The bilateral trade of mechanical and electrical products is close,which lays a realistic foundation for the further development of our mechanical and electrical products export to India.Secondly,according to the characteristics of China’s export trade of mechanical and electrical products to India,new factors such as trade facilitation,economic freedom and openness are introduced into the extended gravity model,and stata15.0 measurement software is used to conduct empirical analysis from the overall and classification levels to explore the effects of each major factor on export trade.Measured and analyzed the trade potential of our country’s export of mechanical and electrical products to India.The empirical results show that economic scale,population scale of importing country,opening degree of importing country,trade facilitation level of importing country,economic freedom of importing country,signing free trade agreement between two countries will promote the export of mechanical and electrical products,while the geographical distance between two countries and the tariff level of importing country will hinder the export.On India’s mechanical and electrical products export trade potential value in China with an average of 0.79,belongs to the huge potential,there is great potential for trade has not been developed.From the classification level,the export trade performance of office machines and automatic data processing instruments,telecommunications and recording and sound equipment and instruments is stronger than other categories.Among them,75 categories of mechanical and electrical products have strong resilience and vitality on the basis of fully releasing their potential and constantly exploring new economic growth points.The export potential value of all kinds of mechanical and electrical products has great differences and fluctuations,and the degree of exploitation of trade potential also presents certain differences.Finally,based on empirical analysis,this paper considers how to improve the institutional environment of China and India,promote product diversification,enhance product innovation,reduce trade barriers and other directions.In order to promote our country to mechanical and electrical products export trade of India’s health,sustainable development,stimulate the export trade potential targeted countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.
