Research On Spatial Form Analysis And Protection Of Traditional Villages In Yu County

Villages have a long history,and they contain rich cultural,economic and scientific and technological values.These villages come from various historical periods,regions and ethnic groups,and they carry all kinds of cultural information.Their spatial layout reflects the current social situation,including social economy,ideology,moral standards,aesthetic taste,behavior habits and people’s psychology.This study has made a preliminary attempt on this subject from four aspects.To begin,Yuxian County’s traditional village elements should be catalogued;then,the correlation between the spatial form of traditional villages in Yuxian County and the influencing factors should be examined.Lastly,the spatial form characteristics of traditional villages in Yuxian County should be evaluated;finally,the spatial form of traditional villages in Yuxian County should be given priority,principles,and strategies for protection.The thesis is,in essence,broken down into four sections,comprising five chapters.The thesis’ s concept and theoretical framework is the focus of the initial chapter.Summarizing the background and current circumstances of Yuxian’s customary villages,this research’s purpose and importance are then deliberated.The research’s aim,objective,and technique;A review of both domestic and international studies on the safeguarding of traditional villages,their spatial form,and the preservation of Yuxian traditional village spatial form,has been conducted.A framework of spatial form from Yuxian traditional villages is set up as a preliminary research.In Yuxian’s "point,line and surface",Chapter Three delves into the spatial forms of traditional villages,categorizing and sorting out their characteristics.By utilizing the theory of spatial syntax,the spatial morphological features of Yuxian county’s customary villages can be quantitatively examined to gain insight into the village’s overall structure.Through the above analysis of the integration of individual space and overall space of Yuxian traditional village,we can achieve quantitative and qualitative scientificity,and also understand the spatial morphological characteristics of Yuxian traditional village more thoroughly.Based on the above qualitative and quantitative analysis,Chapter 4 puts forward the protection priorities for the protection of traditional villages in Wei County:respecting the influencing factors of spatial form and constructing a system of spatial form protection elements;Put forward protection principles: the principle of overall protection,the principle of combining protection and development,and the principle of historical and cultural continuity;The overall protection strategy of traditional villages in Wei County is proposed: on the one hand,explore the centralized continuous protection and utilization mode of traditional villages;On the other hand,innovate the activation and utilization of traditional buildings;At the same time,establish a traditional village protection mechanism for joint construction,co-governance and sharing.The main results of this thesis have been comprehensively summarized and innovative conclusions have been proposed.After in-depth analysis of the spatial form of traditional villages in Wei County,the spatial value of Wei County was discovered,and corresponding protection strategies were proposed for future development,which can provide reference for the protection and development of traditional villages in other parts of China.
