The rapid development of Chinese urban construction not only brings the continuous improvement of urbanization level,but also promotes the transformation of urban planning and construction from incremental expansion to stock optimization.In order to realize the sustainable development of the city construction,a series of urban renewal movements have been carried out in our country.As an important carrier in the daily life of the residents,the public space of the old community bears the important value of meeting the residents’ needs for a better life and promoting the construction and development of the community.At present,the old residential areas are formalized and unified in the process of renewal,and the practical needs of residents are ignored.Problems such as traffic disorder,insufficient function,space waste and poor maintenance emerge in the public space of the residential area in an endless stream,and the contradictions between residents and public space are difficult to be reconciled.Therefore,it is of great significance to carry out the research on the renewal strategy of public space in the old residential areas oriented by residents’ satisfaction for optimizing the construction of public space in the residential areas,improving residents’ living environment and improving people’s well-being.First of all,thesis based on relevant policies to comprehensively promote the urban old district renovation,domestic and foreign research status and related theories of the old district public space renovation,and introduces the structural equation model statistical analysis method needed for the research.Secondly,thesis selects and determines the influencing factors of residents’ satisfaction in the public space of five old residential areas,including safety,accessibility,space quality,facility construction and service management,through the literature research method.On this basis,it builds a theoretical model and puts forward the research hypothesis between the influencing factors and residents’ satisfaction.Then,the old residential district in Qingyunpu District of Nanchang was selected as the sample district,and the sample data required for model testing was collected by designing a questionnaire to identify,estimate and evaluate the model.According to the standardized path relationship between various influencing factors and residents’ satisfaction in the model operation results,five influential factors were tested to have a direct positive impact on residents’ satisfaction.Then,on the basis of the establishment of the research hypothesis,thesis aiming at the relationship between various influencing factors and residents’ satisfaction,puts forward the strategies and suggestions for the renewal of public space in the old residential areas of Nanchang.Finally,according to the actual case of the old residential district in Nanchang,thesis discusses the specific strategy of the public space renovation of Jianglingliyuan District1(North District)in Qingyunpu District of Nanchang City from four aspects: function configuration,environmental quality,road traffic and safety accessibility.Thesis the statistical analysis method of structural equation model is applied to the quantitative research on the renovation of public space in the old residential areas.The combination of qualitative and quantitative research has enriched and improved the theories and methods in the research field of public space renovation strategy in the old residential areas to a certain extent.
