Study On The Living Space Design Of Urban Single Women From The Perspective Of Women

With the continuous advancement of China’s urbanization process,the social structure has also undergone drastic changes,the changes of traditional family structure and social relations have given birth to marginal groups such as“Empty-nest youth”,“Solitary youth” and“Ant tribe”.At the same time,the emergence and expansion of this group has received widespread attention from society through various channels such as traditional media,online media and cultural and artistic works,as an important part of the group of young people living alone,the social discussion on the safety,psychology and status quo of women living alone is deepening.However,in the design of living space,designers usually only consider the universal needs of residents and ignore the gender differences and women’s different needs of space,resulting in non-human design.Therefore,this paper takes the living space design of urban women living alone as the research object,aiming at discussing the relationship between the design and the living space design from the perspective of women,and analyzing the living situation and needs of urban women living alone,put forward the corresponding design principles and strategies,and carry out a practical case study.First of all,based on the status quo of living alone as a research background,combined with the domestic and foreign women,living alone,living space-related theory,to explore the relationship between living space and women living alone,and from them,the characteristics of physiological,psychological and behavioral patterns of urban women living alone are summarized.Secondly,in order to further understand the living situation and needs of urban single women,this paper starts from three aspects: indoor living space,public space and public service facilities,through questionnaire investigation and field investigation,this paper sums up the living space problems faced by women living alone,and puts forward four design principles of safety,comfort,compound and efficacy.In addition,this paper puts forward the corresponding design strategies for the interior space,public space and safety of the residential area,and takes the Yushan residence as the design practice,which provides a reference case for the construction of the female-friendly living space.Finally,in the conclusion,it looks forward to the prospect of the combination of feminism and architecture,which will inspire and reflect the domestic residential space design in the future.
