| The development of concepts such as the Internet,artificial intelligence,and the metaverse,as well as the arrival of the era of experiential economy,has accelerated the process of integrating multiple media.Cross media narrative research is a combination of aesthetics and practice formed by various disciplines to integrate culture,in order to meet the needs of modern people for a multi-level and multi platform story world.It has developed rapidly in this century and integrates various aspects such as life production,cultural experience,and artistic creation.It has also been widely recognized and applied in the content consumption industry.Historical blocks are a part of the historical and cultural heritage of a city,which records the development of civilization in a unique way and also reflects the living environment of people in a region and the changes in local culture.With the expansion of the breadth and depth of research on historical blocks in China,various transformation and development models have emerged.In recent years,due to the homogenization of historical block renovations and the impact of consumer demand shifting towards the internet economy,a series of problems have emerged that cannot meet the needs of modern society,such as difficulty in attracting tourists,especially the younger generation,short tourist stay times,and a lack of nodes for multiple visits.This article is based on the achievements of current research on the protection and renewal of historical neighborhoods both domestically and internationally,and takes the development of cross media narrative as the background to explore how historical neighborhoods can use existing resources to preserve and display historical stories in the new era,achieve the interaction between personal memory and collective memory,the interaction between contemporary and historical,and effectively spread and narrate historical culture.And how to use the intervention of urban catalyst theory to gradually practice landscape design for historical blocks.The main content includes the following:(1)Research on the current research status and related theories of cross media narrative,urban catalyst,and historical blocks,and sort out their characteristics.Furthermore,analyze the feasibility of introducing urban catalyst theory into historical blocks in the context of cross media narrative,and construct catalyst strategies in the landscape design of historical blocks.This article provides a detailed discussion on the application strategies in the landscape design of historical blocks from three steps: the selection of catalysts and carriers,the shaping and activation of catalyst effects,the control and guidance of catalyst effects,and the perspectives of space,culture,and function.(2)Starting from the historical block of Yihe Road,the background research is sorted out,and the spatial,cultural,and functional elements of the site are investigated and analyzed.The Yihe Road Historical Block is one of the first batch of announced Chinese historical blocks and an important historical and cultural protection area in Nanjing.As a newly planned high-end residential area in Nanjing during the Republic of China era,it has gathered a large number of residences led by well-known figures,as well as numerous embassies and consulates of countries or institutions in China.Its unique architectural styles,integrated street and alley patterns,and unique spatial organization are important carriers of the historical style of the Republic of China in Nanjing,as well as exhibition areas for urban cultural heritage.Not only does it reflect the connotation of modern cultural trends in Nanjing,but it also showcases the development process of the city.(3)Through the application of urban catalyst theory,potential catalyst carriers are selected for activation from three perspectives: spatial reshaping,cultural activation,and functional revitalization.With the help of new design languages and modern interactive technology,the narrative is completed together with media such as text,images,digital technology,and new media platforms,achieving a dialogue between the past and present of the venue.And control and guide the catalytic effect from three aspects:timing,events,and construction,creating a highly fashionable,open,and vibrant urban space,transforming historical culture into a more daily narrative method,closer to life scenes,and providing residents and foreign tourists in the neighborhood with a more beautiful interactive space and a more lasting cultural experience.The development of cross media narrative has attracted more and more attention to culture and history,and has also brought new opportunities and challenges to the revitalization of urban historical landscapes.The urban catalytic effect is a gradual process reaction.By introducing it into the renovation of historical blocks,new catalytic carriers can be generated through subsequent control and guidance after the shaping of the catalytic carriers within the blocks,and the scope of the catalytic effect can be expanded to continuously occur.After completing the renovation of the historical block,it can drive the dynamic development of the entire historical block and surrounding areas,providing new perspectives and strategies for the landscape design and renovation of future historical blocks. |
