| Under the background of the gradual deepening of China’s aging,the issue of providing for the aged has aroused widespread concern in society.Influenced by China’s traditional thought,the mode of providing for the aged in our country is mainly to provide for the aged at home,so the public space in the old community carries the functions of leisure,entertainment,social communication,and social participation of most urban elderly groups,and the quality of outdoor activity space determines the frequency and duration of the use of the elderly groups.Although the public space in the old community has been rebuilt many times,the effect is not satisfactory.Therefore,an appropriate evaluation system is needed to judge whether the public space in the old community can meet the actual needs of the elderly.This makes the aging transformation of public space in old residential areas particularly important and urgent.Although scholars at home and abroad have many research achievements in the renovation of old residential areas and the evaluation of aging suitability,they lack a systematic evaluation system.At the same time,few evaluation models combine subjective empowerment with objective empowerment to judge the importance of each aging factor.Therefore,through literature reading and on-the-spot investigation,this study understands the real needs of the elderly residents in old residential areas for the aging of public space and establishes a comprehensive evaluation system for the aging of public space in the old residential areas through the combination of analytic hierarchy process(AHP)-entropy method and semantic analysis method(SD method).The evaluation model is systematic and scientific by combining the judgment of industry experts with the user satisfaction of the elderly.Finally,based on the needs and evaluation results of the elderly group,the corresponding transformation design strategy is put forward,and the specific content is carried out according to the following steps:The first chapter discusses the background of the study through a literature review,explains the existing problems of public space in old districts,and clarifies the purpose and significance of the study.It summarizes the current situation of domestic and international research through literature research and finally sorts out the research content and framework of the thesis.The second chapter focuses on the basic theoretical research related to the evaluation of the aging of public spaces in old districts.Firstly,it defines and explains the concepts of old districts,public spaces,and aging;secondly,it summarises the physiological,psychological,and behavioral characteristics of the elderly and their needs for public spaces in old districts.At the same time,the methods used in the aging friendly evaluation model constructed in this thesis are introduced: the hierarchical analysis method(AHP method),the entropy weight method,and the semantic analysis method(SD method).Chapters 3,4,and 5 are the core part of the thesis,i.e.the construction of the aging-friendly evaluation model and the proposal of aging-friendly retrofitting strategies based on the analysis of case studies and evaluation results.The evaluation model comprehensively adopts qualitative and quantitative methods,calculates the comprehensive weight by AHP-entropy weight method,and quantifies the satisfaction of the elderly groups in the old community with the SD method to build an evaluation model.Ten representative old communities in Xuzhou were selected for a preliminary case study,and five representative old communities were selected for in-depth research.The research contents included: community profile,community status,aging demand,and aging satisfaction.Based on summarizing the current situation of the communities,the research objects were evaluated with the evaluation model,and the satisfaction scores of the elderly groups for the public space of the old communities were obtained,and the evaluation results were analyzed.Summarize the common problems and specific requirements of old residential areas,to provide optimization ideas for the aging transformation of old residential areas,and put forward the design strategies of aging-resistant public spaces in old residential areas that can be popularized and have guiding significance given the four aspects mentioned above: road traffic,green environment,activity venues,and functional facilities.Finally,the Minfuyuan residential area is selected for targeted renovation design,and the application of the proposed strategy in practical cases is tried to be expounded.It is expected that through a series of renovation practices in the later period,the aging degree of the public space in the old residential area and the satisfaction of the elderly can be improved,and the public space in the old-age-friendly residential area can be created,corresponding to the third,fourth and fifth chapters of the article.To sum up,based on literature reading and on-the-spot investigation,this thesis constructs an aging evaluation model of public space in old residential areas in Xuzhou,evaluates the aging according to the evaluation model,and puts forward the transformation strategy according to the transformation results,which provides a reference value for the transformation of old residential areas in Xuzhou. |
