Research On Space Design Of Community Day Care Center Based On Hierarchy Of Needs Theory

In recent years,with the worsening of aging,aging and empty-nest problems,especially in cities,there are more and more elderly people who need to be taken care of and have different needs.In the face of such severe problems,the traditional family pension model and social pension model also seem to be unable to cope with.At this time,the pattern of community endowment which accords with the situation of our country is rising gradually.It integrates the advantages of family endowment,community service,social medical treatment and other advantages,which can effectively solve the problems of the urban elderly pension,reduce the cost of family pension and ensure the quality of life of the elderly.But generally speaking,the development of Chinese community day care centers for the elderly started late,and there are still many problems to be solved in the construction process.This requires us to start from the user’s point of view,according to the actual needs and site conditions to make a reasonable space design.This thesis studies from the perspective of the hierarchy of needs.Firstly,it expounds the research background,purpose and significance,conducts research on the research progress reviewed at home and abroad,and finds out the shortcomings of the research by combining the current situation of community day care centers.The existing day care center space cannot meet the diversified needs of the elderly.Secondly,it analyzes and summarizes the theoretical basis of this research,defines the research on the elderly,the hierarchy of needs theory and day care center,and analyzes and summarizes the excellent design cases at home and abroad,which lays a theoretical foundation for this thesis and provides reference for the subsequent design practice.Furthermore,based on Maslow’s theory of needs,the evaluation index system of community day care centers based on the theory of hierarchy of needs was constructed by using literature review,field survey and hierarchy analysis,and the evaluation results were obtained based on the research on the current situation of the space of day care centers and the questionnaire on the needs of the elderly.The evaluation system is based on the research on the current situation of day care centers and the questionnaire on the needs of the elderly.Finally,the spatial design of community day care center in Xuzhou area is taken as an example to summarize the principles and strategies of spatial design of community day care center for the elderly based on the hierarchy of needs theory.Based on the proposed design principles and strategies,the design and renovation of the community day care center in Jinshan Street is also practiced to provide a reference for the design of the community day care center space in order to provide a space for the elderly to meet diversified needs in the future.
