The achievements in the reform and development of the health sector in China are significant, and the people’s health level continues to improve. However,China is also facing new challenges brought about by industrialization, urbanization, population aging, changes in disease spectrum, ecological environment, and lifestyle. In order to promote the implementation of the Healthy China Strategy, building high-quality and harmonious community life circles is an important issue currently facing major cities.Based on this, this paper attempts to construct and deepen the theoretical system of community living circles from a health perspective, deepen the conceptual framework of healthy living circles from the perspective of enhancing residents’ physical and mental health, provide a basis for the planning and design of healthy community living circles, and provide policy support and basis for cities to combat major public health events and meet residents’ needs.Specific issues also include(1)the construction of an evaluation index system for healthy community living circles;(2)the differences in subjective perceptions and objective measurements of the accessibility of health service facilities and the differences in their impact effects.(3)The correspondence between the environment, personal characteristics and usage behaviour within the healthy community living circle and residents’ self-rated health and satisfaction. This article takes the central urban area of Chengdu as the research area, and conducts research based on spatial point data and empirical survey data.First, the material environment and social environment of the healthy community life circle are constructed and evaluated based on the coverage and convenience of each type of health service facility. The spatial difference characteristics of health service facilities in the main urban area of Chengdu are evaluated based on this, and the layout characteristics and defects of the current healthy community life circle in Chengdu are evaluated.Second, logistic regression and linear regression models are constructed, and combined with geographic information systems,to explore the satisfaction evaluation and influencing factors of residents’ health community life circle, and to reveal the mechanism of the effects of different environmental satisfaction, individual attributes, different use behaviors, and accessibility of health service facilities on residents’ self-assessed physical and mental health. At the same time, starting from two perspectives of objective measurement and residents’ subjective perception, this article analyzes the impact effects of accessibility on residents’ satisfaction and physical and mental health. Finally, based on the environmental elements and related mechanisms that are unfavorable to improving residents’ health level in the research conclusions, this article puts forward optimization strategies for the healthy community life circle. The results show that:(1)The total number of health service facilities in Chengdu is relatively equitable in the distribution of various urban areas, but there is a large imbalance in the development of different facilities, and there are significant differences in coverage rates in different regions. From the city center to the suburbs, the comprehensive convenience of various health service facilities gradually decreases.(2)The social environment, construction and layout of facilities, and residents’ travel habits are all related to facility satisfaction.Residents cannot accurately perceive the surrounding health service facilities.Compared with subjective measurement, the actual accessibility of sports venues(average actual measurement minus perceived measurement:-1.310),sports areas(-0.740),and specialized hospitals(-1.081)is lower, and the actual accessibility of community hospitals(0.095),clinics(1.025),and pharmacies(0.765)is higher. The walking accessibility measured in reality does not significantly affect facility satisfaction, only the low walking time from the residential area to the facility perceived by residents has a positive impact on satisfaction.(3)The usage frequency and accessibility of multiple facilities in health service facilities are significantly related to self-assessed health, and the perceived accessibility of facilities and actual accessibility of facilities have significant effects on self-assessed health.
