| The goal of this research is to use wood vinegar to regulate plant growth and improve soil characteristics,as well as to investigate how to better promote growth and development of Acer truncatum seedlings, increase abiotic stress tolerance, improve soil conditions, and ultimately, provide a theoretical foundation for more-efficient cultivation of Acer truncatum. This thesis looked into the effects of wood vinegar on the growth and development of Acer truncatum seedlings,as well as the chemical properties of soil.Wood vinegar was applied to soil or silica sand in various dilution ratios(200x,400 x,600x,800 x,with distilled water as the control).Germination rate and morphological indicators(plant height, root length, fresh weight, and dry weight of Acer truncatum seedlings),chlorophyll content(chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b,and total chlorophyll),physiological indicators of stress tolerance(content of malondialdehyde, superoxide dismutase, peroxidase, and catalase),and chemical properties of soil or silica sand(p H,organic matter content, available iron/manganese/copper/zinc,and available nitrogen/phosphorus/potassium)were measured. The optimal concentration of wood vinegar for germination, growth, and development of Acer truncatum seedlings was determined through extensive comparison. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)Wood vinegar can promote germination and growth of Acer truncatum seedlings. When a 200-fold or 800-fold diluted wood vinegar solution was applied to the soil, the germination rate, plant height, root length, fresh weight, and dry weight of seedlings were all higher than in the control group. When the wood vinegar was diluted 800 times, the contents of chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b,and total chlorophyll in the seedling leaves were the highest. The growth of seedlings in silica sand is not as good as in soil, and the germination rate, plant height, fresh weight, and dry weight of the seedlings all show a decreasing trend. However, the reduction in the 800-fold scenario was the least, and the root length was the longest.(2)Wood vinegar can improve stress tolerance of Acer truncatum seedlings. When wood vinegar was diluted 800 times and applied to the soil, the MDA content in Acer truncatum seedlings was the lowest, and the POD and CAT activities were the highest, but it was not conducive to SOD.When Acer truncatum was grown in silica sand, its MDA content was higher than that of soil, but the POD and CAT activity were not as good.Overall, when the wood vinegar solution was diluted 800 times and applied to the soil, the stress tolerance were the best.(3)Wood vinegar can reduce soil p H,but when diluted 800 times, the soil p H returns to near that of the control group. When wood vinegar is diluted in various ratios, the organic matter content of the soil increases to varying degrees, reaching a maximum at 800 times dilution. The highest levels of available iron, manganese, copper, zinc, and available nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium were also discovered, explaining the phenomenon of great plant height, fresh weight and dry weight, high chlorophyll content, and good stress tolerance when the wood vinegar was diluted 800 times. It is clear that using wood vinegar in the soil encourages the growth and development of Acer truncatum seedlings.(4)Based on changes in germination rate, morphological indicators, chlorophyll content, enzymatic activities related to stress tolerance, and soil chemical properties,it can be concluded that when wood vinegar is diluted 800 times, the growth and development of Acer truncatum seedlings is optimal. |
