The history of Chinese and foreign economic development has repeatedly proved that accompanied by the modernization process,a large number of agricultural labor force non-agricultural transfer.Since the reform and opening up,the number and speed of the non-agricultural transfer of agricultural labor force in China are unprecedented.The rapid decrease of agricultural labor force,coupled with the high cost of transferring farmland management rights due to the fragmentation of rural farmland contract right,has led to the phenomenon of farmland abandonment in the vast countryside.The existence of this phenomenon not only affects China’s agricultural development and supply of agricultural products,but also goes against the increase of farmers’ income.In order to realize the efficient utilization of cultivated land resources and make land,the "mother of wealth",create more agricultural products for the society and more income for farmers,the field investigation in Pingding County,Yangquan City,Shanxi Province shows that the abandonment of cultivated land is becoming more and more serious.According to interviews with farmers and binary Logistic regression of survey data and information by SPSS software,it can be seen that the reasons leading to the increasingly serious abandonment of local arable land mainly include the increase of rural migrant workers and the lack of agricultural labor force;Too many pieces of arable land scattered,scale management difficult;As well as the high input cost of agricultural production means and the slow growth of farming income.In order to solve the problem of abandoned farmland,the local government should make efforts to improve the local business environment,promote the development of secondary and tertiary industries in the region,so as to attract farmers to return to their hometown for entrepreneurship and employment,so as to give consideration to farmland management without leaving their hometown.The large-scale management of cultivated land can also be realized by promoting the orderly transfer of cultivated land management rights.We should also strictly implement the relevant laws and regulations of farmland abandonment to ensure that the subject of farmland contract right make full use of farmland.The above analysis and suggestions can provide reference for solving the problem of farmland abandonment in Pingding County,and also provide reference for solving the problem of farmland abandonment in other areas.
