| Hu sheep is favored by the domestic sheep industry because of its excellent characteristics such as multiple births,good lactation and rough feeding tolerance,which is an important industrial pillar to promote the economic development of our country.Due to the continuous upsurge of Hu sheep breeding enthusiasm in recent years,the market of Hu sheep breeding is in short supply,and the phenomenon of shoddy sheep is common.More importantly,this phenomenon also makes the production performance of Hu sheep decline significantly.In view of this,in this study,the method of combining molecular breeding with traditional breeding was used,and the Fec B gene was used as the molecular marker to establish the screening criteria of the core group of Hu sheep,to carry out the breeding and offspring breeding of Hu sheep,and to determine its reproductive performance and growth performance,so as to improve the production performance of Hu sheep.At the same time,the reproductive performance,growth performance and slaughter performance of Hu sheep were determined by crossbreeding with different popular mutton sheep breeds and Hu sheep,and the best combination of Hu sheep for mutton hybridization in Yulin area was screened out.The main results of this study are as follows:1.Breeding of this breed of Hu SheepA core flock consisting of 40 rams and 1039 ewes was established according to the standard of Hu sheep.The lambing rate,average birth weight of male and female lambs,average weaning weight of male lambs,body weight at 2,4 and 6 months and average daily gain at 2-6 months were significantly higher in the core group than in the production group(P < 0.05);Three genotypes(GG,GA and AA)of Fec B gene were detected in Hu sheep population,and the lambing rate of individuals with GG genotype was significantly higher than that of the other two groups(P < 0.05).2.Cross utilization of Hu sheepIn terms of reproductive performance,the pregnancy rate of Suffolk,White Dorper and Hu sheep was significantly higher than that of Black Dorper(P < 0.05),and the average birth weight of male and female F1 lambs of Suffolk was significantly higher than that of White Dorper,Black Dorper and Hu sheep(P < 0.05).The body weight at 2,4 and 6 months,daily gain and feed intake,body length,height at hip cross,chest width,chest depth,chest circumference and cannon circumference of Sahu F1 male lambs were significantly higher than those of Hu sheep F1 male lambs(P <0.05).Body weight at 2,4,6 months,daily gain,body length,height at hip cross,chest width,chest depth,chest circumference and cannon circumference of F1 female lambs of Sahu were significantly higher than those of Heiduhu and Hu sheep(P < 0.05);Body weight at 6months,average daily gain,body length,height at hip cross,chest width,chest depth,chest circumference and cannon circumference of F1 male lambs of Sahu generation were significantly higher than those of Baiduhu generation(P < 0.05).Body weight at 4 months,body weight at 6 months,body height,body length and height at hip cross of F1 female lambs of Sahu generation were significantly higher than those of Baiduhu generation(P <0.05);The average daily gain,body length,chest width,chest depth,chest circumference and cannon circumference of Sahu F1 male lambs at 2-6 months of age were significantly higher than those of Heiduhu male lambs(P < 0.05).Body weight at 2,4,6 months,average daily gain,body height,body length,height at hip cross and chest width of Sahu sheep F1 female lambs were significantly higher than those of Heiduhu sheep and Hu sheep female lambs(P< 0.05).Slaughter weight,net meat weight,meat to bone ratio and thigh muscle thickness of male lambs of Sahu F1,Baiduhu F1 and Heiduhu F1 were significantly higher than those of Hu sheep(P < 0.05),and carcass weight of Sahu F1 and Baiduhu F1 was significantly higher than that of Hu sheep(P < 0.05);The dressing percentage of Baiduhu F1 was significantly higher than that of Sahu F1 and Hu sheep(P < 0.05),and the net meat percentage and GR value of Baiduhu F1 were significantly higher than that of Sahu F1,Heiduhu F1 and Hu sheep(P < 0.05);The tail weight and waist muscle thickness of Hu sheep were significantly higher than those of Sahu F1,Baiduhu F1 and Heiduhu F1(P <0.05).In terms of meat quality of male lamb,the brightness value,redness value,yellowness value and marbling value of Sahu F1 generation were significantly higher than those of Heiduhu F1 generation(P < 0.05);the yellowness value,water loss rate,cooked meat rate and marbling value of Sahu F1 generation were significantly higher than those of Hu sheep(P < 0.05);the water loss rate and cooked meat rate of hybrid group were significantly lower than those of Hu sheep(P < 0.05);bling score of Sahu F1 was significantly higher than that of Baiduhu F1,heiduhu F1 and Hu sheep,and the shear force was significantly lower than that of Baiduhu F1,heiduhu F1 and Hu sheep(P < 0.05).In conclusion,establishing a core breeding farm for Hu sheep in Yulin area can significantly improve the performance of Hu sheep,and the Sahu cross combination is the best dual cross combination in this area. |
