Objective:To investigate the expression level and correlation between tumor abnormal protein(TAP)and traditional tumor markers in lung cancer patients,to compare the positive rate of five indicators, and to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of combined detection of different markers for lung cancer. Methods:Clinicopathological data of patients admitted to hospital from January 2021 to February 2022 were collected retrospectively. The expression levels of tumor markers in lung cancer patients with different pathological type and TNM stage were statistically analyzed, and the positivity rates were calculated. The predictive probability of combined detection of TAP and tumor markers was established by binary logistic regression analysis, and ROC curves were drawn to analyze the sensitivity and specificity of tumor markers. Results:A total of 295 patients were included in this study, including 51 patients in the control group and 244 patients in the lung cancer group. The median serum levels of TAP,carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)and pro-gastrin-releasing peptide(Pro-GRP)in the lung cancer group were 111.50μm2,2.29ng/ml and 39.33pg/ml,respectively,which were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).TAP content was significantly positively correlated with CEA(r=0.18,P<0.01)and Pro-GRP(r=0.25,P<0.01).TAP was positive in 40.00%of patients with squamous lung cancer, which was lower than cytokeratin fragment 21-1(CYFRA21-1).The area under curve(AUC)of TAP combined with traditional lung cancer markers for the diagnosis of malignant disease was 0.71,which was higher than the AUC value of single tumor markers(P<0.01).The diagnostic value of TAP in different pathological staging of lung cancer was further analyzed. The results revealed that the AUC values of TAP combined with traditional lung cancer markers were significantly higher than those of single tumor markers for both lung adenocarcinoma and small cell lung cancer patients(P<0.01).Conclusion:Serum TAP levels were significantly higher in patients with lung cancer than in patients with benign lung diseases, with more significant elevations in patients with small cell lung cancer and stage III and IV advanced lung cancer. In the serum of lung cancer patients with different pathological types and TNM stages,TAP levels were significantly and positively correlated with CEA,CYFRA21-1 and Pro-GRP,respectively.Compared with single tumor markers,TAP combined with traditional lung cancer markers has higher diagnostic efficacy for the diagnosis of malignant diseases, especially for lung adenocarcinoma and small cell lung cancer.
