| Since it entered into WTO,China has developed rapidly in the economy and stepped onto the world stage.Meanwhile,as the rapid increase of the number of foreign joint enterprises,an increasing number of international managers come to China.Nowadays,in the fiercely competitive global market,the competition among enterprises is not only the competition of technology and individual ability of the manager but the competition of the entire team.Those managers need to know more management modes and methods in China.Therefore,it’s indispensable for the translator to translate some management books.In this thesis,the translator selects the first two chapters,and the preface of Unity Makes A-Team as the translation practice.The whole sections,with a clear structure,are easy to understand.This translation practice aims to introduce Chinese management methods and models.It can also serve as a reference book that can contribute to better collaboration between foreign managers and Chinese employees.Therefore,the Skopos theory is relatively suitable for the text.This report has pointed out many feasible translation strategies based on specific translation cases from the perspective of Skopos theory.This report falls into five parts.The first part is about task description,which mainly makes a description of the text characteristics and target readers.The second part is the process analysis,which gives a comprehensive introduction to the translation processes.The third part is about the theoretical framework,including a brief introduction of Skopos theory and the three rules of Skopos theory.The fourth part is the translation techniques from the perspective of Skopos theory,including conversion,addition,omission,combination,and negation;the fifth part is the conclusion,which is mainly composed of the gains and defects of this report. |
