| Guide interpreting is a key part of cultural communication.Taking a practice as an example,this paper describes the characteristics and difficulties of guide interpreting.The task involved in the study mainly introduces the characteristics and history of the Bund and nearby scenic spots in the form of Chinese-English consecutive interpretation,in order to explore the guiding significance of interpretive theory in guide interpreting and provide strategies and methods to solve translation problems.On the basis of combing the interpretive theory and interpretation strategies,this study carries out a specific case analysis of the task,including the problems of omission,mistranslation and repeated wordiness in the process,as well as the problems caused by the translator’s deviation in understanding the source language.By using effective translation strategies to solve the problems encountered,the author has fully understand the all-encompassing nature of interpretation practice and the guiding role of interpretive theory.Through this study,I hope to bring some enlightenment and help to interpreters and promote the development of cross-cultural communication. |
