Abstract/Summary:
With the ongoing development of the Yellow River Water Conservancy Project and infrastructure construction around the county,a large quantity of burial material from the two Han dynasties has been discovered in Honong County, which has been published in the form of excavation reports, briefs, and collections of papers, facilitating the systematic sorting of the tombs of the two Han dynasties in Honong County.Through a typological classification of the Han tomb forms and excavated artefacts from Honong County, this paper divides the Honong County Han tombs into eight phases: Early Western Han,Early Western Han,Late Western Han,Xin Mang to Early Eastern Han,Early Eastern Han,Middle Eastern Han and Late Eastern Han.Through sorting out the tomb materials,it is found that although the number of tombs in Hongnong Prefecture in the Han Dynasty varies greatly among the counties under the jurisdiction, the site selection of tombs shows a high degree of consistency, which are distributed along the river or near the river. In addition, before the establishment of Hongnong County, the Han tombs in Hongnong County were mainly affected by the cultural factors of Zhou,Qin and Chu,and the Han culture had not yet formed. After the establishment of Hongnong Prefecture, the Han culture was the main body of the Han tombs in Hongnong Prefecture, which was mainly affected by the cultural factors in Guanzhong region and Luoyang region.Due to geographical and policy reasons, although Sanmenxia region is relatively close to Luoyang,it is more inclined to Guanzhong region in cultural appearance.Xichuan and its surrounding areas,to a certain extent, are affected by cultural factors in Luoyang and Jianghan areas. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, the political center changed from Chang ’an to Luoyang. The shape and utensil characteristics of Han tombs in Hongnong County began to tend to Luoyang area.In addition to the above influence, the Han tombs in Hongnong Prefecture were also influenced by Confucian ethics and morality, theological Confucianism, primitive Taoism,’ death as life ’ and the thoughts of immortality and immortality funeral. These effects are mainly reflected in the layout of the tombs, burial objects, tomb decoration, etc.,to a certain extent, they reflect the clothing, food, housing and transportation of the Han Dynasty.
