In this report,the selected text is the book named Paradigm conversion and restructuring of Articulation between High School and College,compiled by the Center for the Advancement of Higher Education,Tohoku University,as the translation practice text,the main content of the book is to analyze and study the high school education and College education of the Articulation model and specific methods,explore the future of high school and college Articulation paradigm.This translation practice mainly adopts the methods of text analysis,literature review and theoretical comparison to analyze the differences in the expressions of Japanese and Chinese terms in academic texts of educational type,following the two translation methods and strategies of Vinay and Darbelnet’s model,this report discusses the feasibility and implementation of Vinay and Darbelnet’s model in guiding the translation of educational academic texts,this report aims to solve the problems in the translation of educational academic texts from Japanese to Chinese,such as too many terms and the difficulties caused by the differences in educational environment between China and Japan.In the practice report,firstly elaborated the question which I want to study,and proposed the corresponding research method.Secondly,briefly introduce the Vinay and Darbelnet model,and explain the reasons for choosing this model.From the three stages of the translation to describe the task.The research mainly focuses on the translation and analysis of the case from the two aspects of direct translation strategy and oblique translation strategy.At last,summarized and reviewed this translation practice.After the study of translation practice,the following conclusions are drawn.First,due to the academic features of educational academic texts,the translation must be objective,accurate and stand up to scrutiny,the direct translation strategy can be used when the corresponding expression is not found in the target language and the expression is simple.Using the direct translation strategy proposed by Vinay and Darbelnet,the translated text can meet the requirements of the strict wording and concise language.Second,the two languages belong to different language families,thinking mode and grammatical structure are quite different,in order to make the translation more convenient for Chinese readers to read,this requires that the translation must conform to the Chinese expression habit,must be fluent,therefore,oblique translation strategy can be adopted.This report applies Vinay and Darbelnet’s model to analyze and study the translation methods of academic texts,such as the translation of educational vocabulary,the translation of long sentences in academic texts,and the transformation of cultural representations in the field of education,it can provide reference materials for the translation of Chinese-Japanese educational academic texts.
