| In the Tang Dynasty,communication and poetry were essential elements in the lives of literati and scholars.In the history of Tang poetry development,there were many poets in the late Tang Dynasty(825-907),and their interactions with each other were quite complicated.The political chaos in the late Tang Dynasty led to changes in the mentality of literati,which in turn affected the transformation of literary atmosphere.The communication between poets in the late Tang Dynasty is a concrete manifestation of this situation.This article aims to study the communication between poets in the late Tang Dynasty.The basic research materials are the communication and gift works in various poetry collections,as well as the communication stories between poets recorded in historical books and novels.Through these works,taking the communication of six typical poets as an example,and analyzing some phenomena that appeared in the communication process of late Tang poets,the relationship between late Tang politics and literature is connected.This article consists of an introduction and four chapters.The introduction includes the significance of the topic,research methods and innovations,research review,and the definition of related concepts such as "socializing".The first chapter discusses the characteristics of the late Tang Dynasty.This chapter mainly introduces several major political issues in the late Tang Dynasty,including eunuch dictatorship,Niu-Li party struggle,imperial examination corruption,feudal separatism,peasant uprising,and explains the social background of late Tang poets’ social interactions.The second chapter discusses the social interactions of late Tang poets.This chapter divides poet groups and takes one central poet from each group as an example to introduce their social interactions and analyze the problems that arise during their interactions.The first section is about Bai Juyi’s social life in his later years,representing poets from the Middle Tang Dynasty to the Late Tang Dynasty.The second section is about Yao He’s friendship,representing the poets related to the Yao Jia Poetry School that formed and had a profound impact in the late Tang Dynasty.The third section is Du Mu’s friendship,representing the new generation of poets in the first half of the ninth century.The fourth section is Li Shangyin’s social interactions,analyzing the impact of the political environment on his social interactions.The fifth section is about Fang Gan’s friendship,representing the group of reclusive poets in the late Tang Dynasty.The sixth section is about Zheng Gu’s friendship,which played an important role in the transition from Tang to Song.The third chapter discusses the new characteristics and causes of communication among late Tang poets.This chapter provides a simple comparison between the social interactions of poets in the late Tang Dynasty and those in the prosperous and middle Tang periods,summarizing the new characteristics of social interactions among poets in the late Tang Dynasty,including limited intergenerational communication,communication centers ranging from existence to absence,relatively loose communication among peers,and a special group of poets who are enthusiastic about social interactions.The reasons for this are explored from aspects such as political influence and literary concepts.The fourth chapter discusses the significance and influence of communication among late Tang poets.The social interaction among late Tang poetry also promoted the improvement of poetry level,forming a far-reaching poetry school that was conducive to the preservation of works,and the distinctive forms of social interaction were imitated by future generations. |
