As an outstanding intangible cultural heritage of China,New Year picture has gradually become an independent art form with the continuous evolution of New Year customs,integrating the people’s spiritual beliefs and the concept of nature worship.As an important subject in the art of New Year picture,the creation of New Year picture of kids is inseparable from the ancient culture of marriage and reproduction,and it carries the people’s beautiful imagination of happy life with its unique characters and thematic contents.In today’s rapidly developing and changing society,the traditional art of New Year picture is facing the dilemma of survival and development,and how to adapt to the contemporary society has become an issue worthy of study.With the opening of the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,the relationship between cultural industry and cultural confidence has become closer.While we actively protect the art of New Year picture,we need to use creative design and modern communication methods to empower traditional New Year picture of kids,make it close to today’s market demand,and help traditional culture flourish in the new era.This paper compiles the historical evolution,visual language and auspicious meanings of New Year picture of kids based on literature combing and case analysis,and researches the inheritance and innovative design direction of New Year picture of kids through fieldwork and questionnaire survey,thus carrying out design practice.The research methods and contents of the thesis are as follows:1.Analyze the historical evolution of traditional woodblock New Year paintings and New Year picture of kids to understand their social background and development;2.Organize and refine the artistic characteristics and cultural connotation of New Year picture of kids from the perspectives of modeling patterns,composition,color usage and auspicious symbolism;3.Propose the problems faced in the inheritance and innovation of New Year picture of kids through field research,case study and questionnaire survey,and understand consumers’ perception of New Year picture of kids;4.The design strategy is proposed according to the preliminary research,and the visual image of the kid is redesigned by selecting suitable themes and characters of the New Year picture,and the illustrations and cultural creative products are derived from the visual image,so that the New Year picture of kids can be integrated into consumers’ daily life after the New Year festival,and give new vitality to the traditional culture.This paper combines the knowledge of visual language,folk psychology and regional characteristics of New Year picture of kids with the current situation of inherited and innovative development of New Year picture of kids and diversified needs of consumers,and explores the possibilities and prospects of New Year picture of kids in modern design applications.In the process of design practice,the author anthropomorphizes the classic animal and plant elements in the New Year picture of kids,conceptualizes the characters’ characteristics from auspicious symbols such as inviting wealth,auspiciousness and happiness,reconstructs the characters’images with modern design language,and combines the series design with New Year’s festivals and daily necessities so as to meet the diversified needs of consumers.By linking the New Year picture of kids with modern life scenes,more people can understand the beauty of traditional culture and provide useful reference for the inheritance and development of New Year Picture of Kids. |
