| Nowadays,Chinese international education has stepped into the rapid wave of internationalization and globalization, and the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is gradually involved in different fields such as economy, politics, culture and tourism, etc. It is obvious that simple language teaching cannot meet the requirements of talent training, and comprehensive talents who know both language and culture are increasingly needed at the level of national cooperation and communication. For the Department of Chinese International Education, cultural research and international exchange are the strengths of the discipline, which correspond to the requirements of promoting exchanges and cooperation among people from different countries and common development, and help to realize the purpose of "people-to-people",therefore,from the perspective of the discipline, the urgency and importance of strengthening country-specific cultural research are highlighted. In terms of content, the current domestic research on country culture is relatively diverse in theme and the research results are gradually enriched. However, most of the existing researches focus on case studies of a specific issue, such as education system, folk culture, cultural communication and living language among countries, but there is a lack of in-depth discussion on the most fundamental basic contents of country culture concepts, research methods and research theories, which leads to a lack of certain reference standards for various researches and makes it difficult to guarantee the quality of research. At the same time, the research results of country culture in the past were mostly presented in paper textbooks, which had the disadvantages of time lag, static information, and lack of interesting teaching, and it was also a considerable challenge for researchers to collect information materials.Based on the above considerations, this paper systematically considers country culture research under the discipline of Chinese international education, proposes the classification of country culture, research ideas and methods, and research contents, and considers how to assist the collection and organization of materials and cultural teaching in country culture research with the help of digital technology;finally,it uses the traditional festivals of Southeast Asian countries as a case to further illustrate. Finally, the traditional festivals of Southeast Asian countries are used as case studies for further illustration. The specific chapters are as follows. The introduction mainly introduces the general background and problem awareness of the thesis, and briefly explains the purpose and significance of the study, the research methodology, and the research framework. The second chapter focuses on the theoretical description guiding the dissertation, the research design, the design of the interview outline and the interview implementation.Chapter 3 is the core content of the dissertation, which discusses the basic theoretical system of country culture research and constructs a relatively complete theoretical framework system of country culture research.Chapter 4 is an extended discussion on top of the basic issues in Chapter 3,including the purpose of digital research on country cultures, the problems and challenges of digital repository construction, and the reasons for choosing traditional festivals in Southeast Asian countries as a case study. After the theoretical review,Chapter 5 lists the representative traditional festivals in Southeast Asian countries and conducts a comparative analysis, and proposes the idea of a "data management system for traditional festivals in Southeast Asian countries".Chapter 6reverts to the title of the dissertation, reflects on the theme of the article, and reviews the main tasks in the process of writing the dissertation. Conclusions and Findings: Behind the current prevalence of globalization and multiculturalism, the study of national cultures in the discipline of Chinese international education needs to rethink its positioning and deepen its content;the use of digital technology to assist the study of national cultures is feasible and significant, and the combination of the two is a repositioning of the existing research concepts and research paradigms,a process from "external influence" to "acceptance" to"self-change.The combination of the two is a reorientation of existing research concepts and research paradigms,a process from "external influence" to "acceptance"to "self-transformation",but in this process there are specific obstacles such as funding, technology, and team, which need to be considered by researchers in the context of their own situation. In future research,in addition to institution-oriented databases,individual-oriented databases are also a development trend, but the concept is still immature and needs to be further explored. |
