| With the surging globalization tide, transnational tourism has become a popular trend, highlighting the importance of guide interpreting. In recent years, guide interpreting has got more attention, but the research is mostly conducted at the level of linguistics. There are not many articles that study guide interpreting from the perspective of Eco-translatology.In this thesis, the author took the background of an interpreting practice at the Former Site Museum of Changchun Film Studio, and used the Three-dimensional Conversion Theory as the framework to deeply analyze and discuss the most severe problem in this practice—“information loss”.Based on the background, the author wrote this practice report.Three-dimensional Conversion Theory requires interpreters to be faithful to the information of the source text while adapting and selecting on the basis of maintaining the ecology of the source text so that the interpreted language can “survive” in the new linguistic, cultural and communicative ecology. In the specific analysis, the author focused on the application of Three-dimensional Conversion Theory in interpreting practice, and tried to combine Three-dimensional Conversion with the analysis of information loss problem. In combination with specific cases, the author summarized the specific information loss problem from the linguistic dimension, cultural dimension, and communicative dimension, namely,“loss of modifiers”,“loss of cultural background information” and “loss of implicit meaning of source text”.According to the specific contexts, the author adopted methods such as amplification, division and analogy to achieve the adaptive conversion of three dimensions so that the integrity and effectiveness of information conveyance can be ensured and the best interpreting effect is achieved.Through this practice, the author has deeply reflected on the limitations of her own ability in interpreting and clarified the direction of her future study and practice on interpreting. She also hopes that this practice report will inspire similar practice activities in the future and deepen the application of Three-dimensional Conversion Theory in the practice of interpreting. |
