Wang Anyi’s Novels In Cross-cultural Perspective

Taking care of the problems faced by Chinese and Western cultures in communication from a cross-cultural perspective provides a good example for cultural exchanges in different contexts,and also becomes an important consensus to solve communication barriers.At present,in the cultural exchange and integration,Eastern culture consciously or unconsciously accepts the "favor" of foreign culture without blind Angle.How to cope with the cultural integration under the impact of Chinese and Western culture,how to find a proper position to successfully complete the cross-cultural communication activities and Chinese international teaching activities,meanwhile,What kind of acculturation strategy should be adopted in the face of the problems in the process of cross-cultural communication becomes an important subject.It has always been a way for scholars to solve problems by reviewing life and reality from literature and finding the exit of resonance from literature.Following the steps of Wang Anyi,this paper starts from the Chinese mainland,goes to the Atlantic Ocean,and then returns to the hometown to explore the problems of Chinese culture,educators of international Chinese language and contemporary youth in the cross-cultural background,in order to enrich the specific content of cross-cultural communication under the current background.Wang Anyi went to the United States to study in 1983.Faced with superior living conditions and an open international perspective,she resolutely chose to return to China and firmly determined to "write about China".Since then,the elements of Chinese and Western culture have become "commonplace" in her works: the Shanghai style culture in the Song of Everlasting Regret,the setting of the first and third world characters in the Story of Uncle and I Love Bill,and the heroes and heroines in the Western world in West to West to South and A Knife to a Thousand Words.It is not difficult to see that Wang Anyi takes care of himself,China and even Chinese culture in the perspective of globalization during his study,finds the problems arising from cultural collision,finds the answers about why culture is in itself,and delivers them to readers in the form of literature.This paper will select three representative works of Wang Anyi and analyze them from three aspects from a cross-cultural perspective.Song of Everlasting Regret traces back to the past Shanghai with the story of a Shanghai woman,showing the charming city and urban life generated by the collision and exchange of Chinese and Western cultures.The ideological invasion and material representation in the book open up a beautiful Shanghai scenery for readers,and the problem of how to balance the collision and blend of Chinese and Western cultures needs to be solved urgently..How to correctly deal with the problem of cultural identity under the cutting end of The Times has become one of the themes of this paper.As another new work by Wang Anyi,A Knife,A Thousand Words closely combines the process of searching for one’s mother spirit with the search for cultural roots.It discusses how the marginal people with a sense of cultural identity crisis find the cultural roots and spiritual end-result by means of traditional Chinese skills under the circumstances of Chinese and Western cultures.At the same time,it brings to us the process of cross-cultural communication.What kind of acculturation strategy should be adopted in the face of cultural conflict.
