A Study On The Images Of Gods And Goddesses In Pingyang New Year Wood-block Prints In Qing Dynasty

Pingyang New Year wood-block Prints are a folk art form in Pingyang,Shanxi Province,whose contents are closely related to the lives of the people in Pingyang.As one of the most developed types of Pingyang New Year wood-block prints,the New Year pictures of gods and goddages reflect the common spiritual pursuit of popular culture in different periods in Pingyang area,which is of high research value.This paper studies the images of gods in Pingyang New Year wood-block prints in Qing Dynasty by means of image research,literature research and field investigation.This paper summarizes the purpose and significance of the research on the images of gods in Pingyang New Year wood-block prints in the Qing Dynasty,the domestic and foreign research literature and the research methods used in this paper.This paper discusses the social situation of the images of gods in Pingyang New Year wood-block prints in the Qing Dynasty,and sorts out the general situation of their change,which provides material support for the subsequent research on the images of gods in Pingyang New Year wood-block prints in the Qing Dynasty.Through learning to make images of gods of Pingyang New Year wood-block prints in Qing Dynasty and observing and analyzing the images,the paper concludes that the production process of gods of Pingyang New Year wood-block prints in Qing Dynasty is stylized,the visual image is exaggerated and the modeling characteristics are refined and painted symbolized.By observing the process of engraving New Year paintings and analyzing and refining the lines of different parts of the images of gods in Pingyang New Year wood-block paintings in the Qing Dynasty,the characteristics of lines with a sense of hierarchy were obtained.Combined with color matching in the printing of New Year pictures,the paper analyzes the high purity and strong contrast color characteristics of the images of gods in Pingyang New Year wood-block prints in Qing Dynasty.Through the above research,it reflects the folk meaning of harmony thought embodied by the theme of god images in Pingyang New Year wood-block prints in Qing Dynasty,the secular transformation of content presentation and the folk culture carried by Posting customs,as well as a common pursuit of Pingyang people in Qing Dynasty.
