A Practice Report On The Chinese Translation Of The Thai Literary Work "Inao" (Excerpt) Under The Guidance Of Domestication And Foreignization Strategies

The friendly relationship between China and Thailand has a long history,and the exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in various fields have continued to increase.Literary exchanges are becoming more and more frequent,which requires translators to select excellent Thai literary works for translation,so that Chinese readers can better understand Thai culture and achieve the goal of promoting friendly cultural exchanges between China and Thailand.This thesis is a master’s degree thesis for Thai translation major,which mainly consists of two parts: translation practice and translation report.The report on translation practice takes the Chinese translation of Chapter 10 and Chapter 11 of the Thai classical literary work "Inao" as the research object.The specific application of translation strategies and foreignizing translation strategies in translated texts.Through the analysis and induction of typical cases in the translation process,the translator has gained a wealth of experience in literary translation.It is hoped that this practical report will have certain reference significance for the study of literary translation.This translation practice report consists of four chapters.The first chapter is a description of the translation task.The main content includes the background of the topic selection and research significance,the introduction of the task text and the translation task process.The second chapter is a brief introduction to the translation strategies of domestication and foreignization.It describes the connotation of domestication and foreignization from the aspects of the origin and development of domestication and foreignization,and clarifies the reasons why the author adopts this translation strategy to guide translation practice.The third chapter is the analysis of translation practice under the guidance of domestication and foreignization translation strategies.According to the translation strategies of domestication and foreignization combined with specific translation cases,it analyzes and raises and solves problems.The fourth chapter is a summary,which summarizes the problems encountered by the author in the translation process,as well as the deficiencies and enlightenments obtained in the translation practice,and puts forward issues that need further research.
