This article takes Bauhaus Chinese published literature as the research object,and collates and analyzes relevant published books and papers from the perspective of domestic introduction and acceptance of Bauhaus.Quantitative research methods,historical research methods,literature research methods,and comparative research methods are mainly used to conduct statistics,investigation,comparison,and analysis of the main Chinese published literature of Bauhaus.The article is based on a summary of Bauhaus Chinese literature.Firstly,define the connotation and extension of Bauhaus and clarify the research content.A further statistical analysis of 60 published books and 2862 research papers was conducted,and the documents were classified by time and quantitatively compared and analyzed.Through literature comparison,four stages of Bauhaus’ acceptance in China can be divided: the impression of Bauhaus during its initial period(1929-1933),which was basically introduced as Western modern art;Early understanding of Bauhaus’ s concept(1934-1979),domestic communication was influenced by ideology;The extensive introduction of Bauhaus literature and the publication of translated works(1979-2007)have transformed the understanding of Bauhaus from an artistic style to a modern design concept;Bauhaus literature was absorbed and digested-monographs were published(2008-2022),expanding modern design concepts.The four stages reflect a token understanding that China’s acceptance of modern cultural ideas is inseparable from the process of transforming the material world.Finally,a comparative study is conducted on the similarities and differences in the professional backgrounds of Chinese and foreign researchers in Bauhaus,the issues of concern to Bauhaus in Germany,the United States,the United Kingdom,Switzerland,Russia,and Japan,the focus of acceptance in various countries,and the issues of concern in translation and monographs.Demonstrate the cognitive process of Bauhaus acceptance in China,thereby discussing the development and impact of Bauhaus literature on China’s architectural education,industrial products,and design practice,and summarizing theoretical and practical experience.By interpreting Bauhaus from a Chinese perspective and as a learner,and studying and sorting out the cognitive process of Bauhaus design experience in China,it can be found that Bauhaus is also a design concept and method for China’s modernization process,modern design education,and the development of the design industry,and is one of the ideological sources of modern design in China.
