The Philosophical Implications Of "On The Correct Handling Of Contradictions Among The People"and Contemporary Values

During the period of socialist revolution and construction in our country,Mao Zedong began to think independently about the problems that arose in the development path of socialist countries in the world,comprehensively analyzed the contradictions among the people in China and the methods and principles for correctly handling them,and officially published the article "On the Correct Handling of Contradictions Among the People"(hereinafter referred to as "Correct handling")in 1957.This is a masterpiece of the Sinicization of Marxist philosophy,and its world outlook and methodological significance deserve in-depth study.On the basis of mainly studying the text of "Correct handling" and drawing on relevant research results,this paper deeply analyzes and understands Mao Zedong’s thinking on correctly handling contradictions among the people,inherits and develops Mao Zedong’s theoretical theory on correctly handling contradictions among the people and the Marxist thought contained therein,and seeks correct theories and methods for solving various contradictions in the new era.The first part of the paper is an introduction,which mainly expounds the background purpose and significance of the study of "Correct handling" in the new era,and deeply analyzes the research status of "Correct handling",on the basis of which the research ideas and methods and innovation points of this paper are proposed.The second part analyzes the writing background and ideological origin of Mao Zedong’s creation of "Correct handling",Mao Zedong,in the face of the complex international and domestic environment,on the basis of absorbing the scientific ideas of Marx and Engels,Lenin,Stalin and others,based on China’s national conditions,began to independently think about the development of socialist society and countries in the world.The third part expounds the main contents of the "Correct handling",as well as the specific manifestations and handling principles of contradictions among the people;The fourth part mainly analyzes the philosophical implications of "Correct handling" from the three perspectives of materialism,dialectics and historical materialism;The fifth part analyzes the value of the times contained in "Correct handling" from two aspects: theoretical significance and practical significance,and puts forward a series of guiding significance for correctly handling contradictions among the people in the new era.Mao Zedong’s ideas and methodological principles on correctly handling contradictions among the people are of great value to the times,which not only enriched and developed the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics and promoted the process of sinicization of Marxist philosophy,but also has important guiding significance for the correct handling of contradictions among the people in contemporary times.However,in the new era,"Correct handling" still has historical limitations that cannot be ignored,and it is necessary to combine the new characteristics of contradictions in the new era,keep pace with the times,and seek truth from facts to improve the methods and principles for correctly handling contradictions among the people.
