| Regarding the teaching of "Starting with Oral Work,Followed by Character Teaching",the Chinese academic community has reached a certain consensus."Starting with Oral Work,Followed by Character Teaching" refers to the separation of the teaching of "oral language" and "character" in the primary stage of Chinese learning, first teaching oral language based on pinyin, not reading but not avoiding Chinese characters, and learners have a certain foundation before starting to read and write Chinese characters. This teaching model is effective for beginner learners whose mother tongue is phonetic, and the teaching design is also applicable to learners from the "Chinese character cultural circle".At present, more and more Japanese and Korean Chinese learners have a huge gap between listening-speaking skills and reading-writing skills."Starting with Oral Work,Followed by Character Teaching" has teaching implications for solving this situation, but there are still relatively few teaching practices based on it and aimed at Japanese and Korean Chinese learners.Based on the teaching concept of "Starting with Oral Work,Followed by Character Teaching",this paper conducts research on the design of introductory Chinese textbooks for Chinese learners in Japan and Korea.Through the literature review of the existing research results, the characteristics of Japanese and Korean Chinese learners and the practicality of "Starting with Oral Work,Followed by Character Teaching" are summarized.Through the comparative analysis of the existing "Starting with Oral Work,Followed by Character Teaching" Chinese introductory textbooks and Japanese and Korean Chinese introductory textbooks, summarize their differences and analyze the advantages and shortcomings,so as to obtain enlightenment on the principles and purposes of new textbooks, and design sample textbooks on phonetics, topics, texts, new words, grammar and language knowledge,Chinese characters, culture, and exercises.Through the analysis and feedback of the newly compiled textbooks, explore whether the design of the Japanese and Korean Chinese introductory textbook is scientific and pertinent, whether it meets the actual needs of Japanese and Korean learners to use Chinese, whether it can stimulate the advantages of learners and correctly handle the problems of "oral language" and "character" in learning, and make adjustments and improvements of "phonetics" and "characters" teaching. In the comparison of textbooks,it can be found that the general Chinese introductory textbook "Road to Success: Threshold" is written based on "Starting with Oral Work,Followed by Character Teaching",which has the scientific principle, but its scope of application is relatively wide and cannot be completely aimed at Japanese and Korean Chinese learners.Although the Japanese and Korean textbooks "Chinese with a Happy Beginning" and "Master Chinese Attic" have strong pertinence, the teaching of phonetics and Chinese characters can still be further optimized by combining the characteristics of the "Chinese character cultural circle" and the concept of "Starting with Oral Work,Followed by Character Teaching".In the preparation of the new textbook,it is clear that the target of the textbook is "zero-based" Chinese learners from Japan and South Korea, and the teaching principles and objectives appropriate to it are formulated. The phonetic teaching of the newly compiled textbook is the central link, the texts and new words appear in the form of Pinyin, and the teaching of Chinese characters is added according to the background of learners in the "Chinese character cultural circle",and the grammar and cultural teaching are also optimized. After the design of the new textbook was completed, the design of "phonetics" and "Chinese characters" was found through interviews, and measures for adjustment and improvement were proposed. |
