Explore The Expression Of "Light And Shadow" In Landscape Painting

The elements of light and shadow have been used more in western paintings.In China,ancient landscape painters have been exploring the changes of light and shadow.The painters usually use the words "Yin and Yang turn back" and "obscure change" to reflect the changes of light and shadow in landscape paintings.With the introduction of Western painting concepts such as "perspective" and "light and color" into China,modern and contemporary Chinese painters inherited the traditional basis of learning from Western light and shadow performance techniques,so that landscape painting has a new look,full of new vitality.This paper focuses on the traditional landscape painting of light and shadow as a starting point,in-depth analysis of modern landscape painting with light and shadow combination of innovation.This article mainly talks about the light and shadow performance in landscape painting and how I express light and shadow through different elements in landscape painting creation.This paper is divided into two parts.The first part describes how light and shadow are represented in landscape painting,expounds the overview and expression modes in traditional landscape painting and modern landscape painting,and analyzes the innovation of light and shadow in modern landscape painting.The second part takes my four points of sunlight,moonlight,reflection and color as examples to describe my exploration and understanding of light and shadow combined with my creation.
