A Study On The Influence Of "Mohism Factors" In The Transformation Of Modern Chinese Music Culture

The revival of Mohism in China’s modern cultural history is a special historical phenomenon that cannot be ignored.The collision and integration of Chinese and Western cultures here connect Mohist "universal love" with western "fraternity",Mohist "non aggression" with "pacifism",Mohist "frugality" with "utilitarianism",etc.The connotation of the original Mohist school of thought quietly transformed in the analogy and new interpretation of modern Mohism research,and had an impact on various aspects of modern society in China.This article consists of three chapters,covering the modern texts,concepts,and practices of Mohism.Chapter one,the continuation and evolution of Mohist classics in modern times.Firstly,we will sort out the research texts of modern Mohism,and secondly focus on the texts of modern research on Mohism’s musical thought,as well as the music texts written using Mohism’s thought,in order to gain an understanding and interpretation of Mohism’s musical thought in the modern academic community.Chapter two,the influence of the "Mohism factor" on modern music creation.Starting from the metaphorical text of music-lyrics,this study explores the impact of the three "Mohist factors" of "universal love","non aggression",and "chivalry" on modern song creation.In the writing,the connotation of relevant songs is interpreted in conjunction with the original Mohist scriptures and the context of modern Mohism.For example,the songs of "universal love","great harmony","socialism",and "love" reflect the Mohist thought of "universal love".Some anti aggression songs and songs praising peace reflect the Mohist ideology of "non aggression".The songs of militia and self-defense forces,which are spontaneous and just armed organizations,reflect the spirit of Mohist "chivalry".Chapter three,the influence of Mozi’s "non music" on modern music life.Revealing the drawbacks of Mozi’s "non music" ideology,namely the "utilitarian" music view,has had a certain impact on modern music education,music inheritance,and music dissemination.This article incorporates Mohist thought into the field of modern music thought research,filling the gap in modern music thought research,and is a new attempt.In order to attract more scholars’ attention to our traditional culture and explore its strong vitality in the long river of history.
